I followed both of them on lookbook and also their respective blogs since the time they were still friends and were just hanging out; doing photoshoots, blogging together about fashion etc. That was around early 2010, I was still v young. I guess it's safe to say I've seen (at least glimpses) how their relationship blossomed from pure friendship. Fast forward to now, 2020....learning they broke up did make me feel incredibly sad haha. I mean, seeing how they've grown from friends to a young couple to an adult couple all the while achieving their personal goals did make me think how beautiful it truly is to find someone you can navigate life through with. Perhaps they had been together for 9 years? Well, that's amazing. But also, perhaps it's time we acknowledge the fact that in this lifetime, there are really going to be people who will be huge parts of our growth but we won't get to keep forever. That's just the way the world works sometimes. People can go through breakups, and that's totally fine. It doesn't make the value of the genuine time and connection shared together any less. Forward we go. :)
