I remember this one interview with Mike. He had said that he prays before every single game.. and not for God to give him the "strength to win," or for him to "do his best," but for God to keep all the players safe during the game. I just always thought of this whenever I had seen him play. Good freaking guy.

This was incredibly touching. Mike had the realest life changing moment, not when he signed the biggest hockey contract of his life, but when he realized his broken human condition and gave his life to Jesus.

I am from Peterborough Ontario Canada..I went to school with Mike I am so proud of him he's done amazing.
I can tell you for sure that she loves animals because i live right near a veterinarian clinic that she funds to fix animals. Although my little yorkie died 2 months ago they saved her life at one time for an emergency. The place is called happy paws in Checotah I met her mom there. Carrie really loves animals to help them.

How refreshing to see 2 people in love, talk about their inner most feelings & giving it up to God. God being a big part of their lives. To see little Isaiah & the precious bond they have is so beautiful. Pure Love..to see little Isaiah sing with Mom on Little Drummer Boy, my heart overflowed with joy. We need more of this in our messed up world. And no, nothing is perfect, if you trust & believe, God will move mountains π amen.

Life is hard. When both people are in the "spotlight" that can make things harder, like being under a microscope. I think realizing, "I Am Second", keeps things in prospective, because, like Mike and Carrie acknowledge their hard times and differences, but how prayer and The Lord makes things workable. πβοΈππ»

Carrie Respects Life, Respects Animals and Cares. She shows her true self. I seen A show where that 6 or 7 country female singers were honoring Loretta Lynn and singing some of her songs etc. Carrie Underwood and Reba really put there heart into singing and honoring Loretta Lynn. Not being negative toward the other Lady singers that were having A good time, They just didnβt show the same. Wish We had more people like Carrie Underwood. Life would be better for All. jes

My husband and I lost our baby in a miscarriage in 1994. We do not have our baby here with us to get him OR her up for school, celebrate their birthdays with, they are not eating with us at the table, they are not in our car going to church, the stores, visit family. Our baby is with Jesus, HE has a rocking chairπ and we will see him OR her in Heaven. BUT we do have a family member that is not here on earth with us.

I am sharing this with my two goalie-hockey players (ages 15 and 12) who have been βhockey nutsβ collecting hockey cards as long as I can remember. Mike- thank you for demonstrating what a Christian man is, and Carrie thank you for your Little Drummer Boy duet with your son; it is beautiful. And Carrie, thank you for your duet of Amazing Grace (with Ricky Skaggs ?) in which your emotional relationship with God is so profound. I love that the name of this is I am Second. Jesus appeared after my surgery and we had a long discussion at the very end of that discussion he told me that we need to Love one another Serve one another and Honor Him and the most important thing is to know that He Is The Great I Am.Had he not told me that He Is The Great I Am. I might have wrote it off as it mightβve been the anesthesia. Through this experience later on I got into the Bible and found out that is what his name is I am. Today I am Gratefully In Love with The Father.
