2020년 5월, 팬들의 오랜 기다림 끝에 나띠(NATTY)가 드디어 데뷔 싱글을 발표한다.
2015년 방송된 '식스틴(SIXTEEN)'에서 나띠는 당시 14세의 어린 나이에도 불구하고 빼어난 보컬과 댄스 실력을 뽐내며 음악 팬들에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다. 이후 2019년 10월에는 태국 방콕에서 열린 "KCON 2019 Thailand'의 컨벤션 스페셜 게스트로 출연, 한층 더 성장한 퍼포먼스와 비주얼로 많은 관심을 끌어내기도 했다.
유려한 춤과 노래로 주목 받아 온 나띠는 함께 연습한 또래들이 먼저 데뷔함에도 포기하지 않고 꿈을 이루기 위해 오랜시간 묵묵히 달려왔다. 이제 자신의 버킷리스트의 제일 위에 있던 "스무살이 되기 전에 데뷔!" 라는 꿈을 현실로 만들어내며 당당히 가요계에 첫 발을 내딛는다.
올해 19살이 되는 나띠가 자신의 첫 싱글 [NINETEEN]에 담아낸 것은 "꿈"과 "극복"에 대한 이야기다.
우리는 자주 "꿈"을 위해 자기 자신을 던진다. 내면에는 분명 "꿈"을 향한 강한 의지를 가진 내가 있고, 그 "꿈"을 향하는 과정이 무섭고 두려운 또다른 내가 있다. "꿈"을 향해 달려가는 '나'는 "꿈"속에 던져져버린 그 '또다른 나'를 "나약한 존재", "나태한 존재" 등의 온갖 부정적인 단어들로 부정하고 외면하기도 한다. 그렇게 "꿈"을 위해 내던져진 '또다른 나'를 외면하고 부정하는 것이 진정 내 꿈에 닿기 위한 "극복"의 과정이라 할 수 있을까?
나띠는 과거 수많은 좌절과 실패를 겪었지만 흔들리지 않고 여기까지 왔다.
자기 자신을 억지로 끌어당기고 외면했던 나띠는, 데뷔의 꿈을 이룬 지금, 과거의 나에게 찾아가 위로를 건낸다.
자신이 극복하고 맞이할 진정한 꿈을 위해.

I think people are more confused on why she debut in a group after being a successful soloist to begin with. She's killing it either way but I'm kinda lost on that part. Even the solo she dropped under sher group label called sugarcoat is such an amazing solo artist song. It's a really strong solid solo song that just makes you kinda wonder what happened. But as long as natty is happy I'll be supporting all the way cause kiss of life is killing thier debut right now.

The fact that they debuted Natty as a solo artist even tho she's foreigner, they didn't add any korean artist in a team with her. I think that it shows how they are confident enough that she can accomplish bigger things because of her amazing talent. Mind you in the show sixteen where jyp was chosing the twice member line up, she was at the level of momo at the age of 13. I'm glad she finally debuted and didn't give up her dreams after failing many time. Please stan Natty. I swear you won't regret it.

I came back here after listening to her new solo song as part of KISS OF LIFE, and I'm really shocked at how different she sounds. I already knew that I didn't recognize her voice, but listening to this again it's even more different than I thought. Like it's a different person. Her nose also looks completely different, I wonder if this played a part into changing the sound of her voice, anyways she sounds way better now.

She sounds very fluent in korean now with proper diction also, that's improvement since she is 21 now

Just sing while touching or pinching your nose it will sound very different, it's not new that certain noses surgeries affect the sound of the voice. So considering how drastic her nose change was, I don't think it's impossible.
But considering how drastic the change in her voice is, I'm sure there are other aspects. Maybe her voice just matured also from her child voice.

I see a lot of people saying the song won't attract new fans because it isn't catchy, but it totally is in its own way. It's been a long time since I've heard a song with hitting parts like this one and her unique vocal tone just brings out the style even more. The producers have done an amazing job! I feel like I can call myself a new fan because this song slapped.
