The best thing that Kingdom did was to bring 2nd gen groups to the show. Their performances are really special. With just four members, BtoB turned a hip-hop track created for eight members and gave their own flavor
btob is 3rd gen....
Btob debuted in the beginning of 3rd Gen but those year 2012 considered as the last year also of 2nd Gen. Also 2011 and 2012 debuted idols are considered 2.5 generation because the sounds and music of the groups in this year sounded like 2nd Gen but with a more 3rd generation sounds. That is why Groups like Btob, Exo, Vixx and other who debuted in that year some people considered them part of 2nd generation because of their musicality creation and sounds.
Its more like BTOB is in a transition period between 2nd and 3rd gen, pre debut when second gen ended and debut when 3rd gen begins. those they're like a 2.5 gen.
According to Eunkwang in Idol League, they're 2.5 gen.
In the manager when eunkwang dinner with sungjae and hyunsik they said their first concept is band but in that year 2009 or something i dont remember they said they want to debut as a band concept but cnblue debut first then they said have no chances because in cnblue all handsome🤣🤣🤣 then they start over again for became dance group 🤣🤣.

ㅈ문가 평점 5위라니 대체 무슨 기준으로 평가했던건지 잘 모르겠지만 이거 하난 확실하다. 비투비는 정말 돌판에서 볼 수 없는 유일무이한 개성을 가진 그룹임...다른 그룹도 정말 멋있었지만 내 맘속엔 이게 최고의 무대ㅠㅠ

I'm a solid melody (melo-mom, actually) but I'm thankful to SKZ for choosing our boys to do the "re-born" of their song. They gave BTOB the chance to show everyone that they are not just ballad idols. And I'm more thankful for the sincere appreciation SKZ show towards BTOB. Whatever the outcome of this competition, one thing is sure... SKZ will have a very supportive hyung-deul (not just sunbaes) in BTOB.

I don’t know. Feels like 4th gen are good in their own way and have their own energy. The only thing is that yeah, there are much less live vocals nowadays.
btob's performances are just like concert/musical stage play (heavy story telling like half of the performance was story and minimal dance) while other groups are music shows/television performance based (minimal story telling mostly first part middle, outro and heavily focused on dance breaks)

One of the cleanest performances for Round 2. No too much drama. Not too chaotic. Its almost a stage rock musical. Good thing that Eunkwang and Changsub have experiences in stage musicals so they know how transitions work during live performances.

ikr! I disliked when people said BTOB is only a vocal group, I always suggested some of their earlier songs like Insane or Wow but they were just too lazy to check it out. Kingdom really shows that BTOB is a full package group

Had I not listen to the song before, I would swear this is the original version. They made it their own. It was turned into an interesting story, to make wise use of the props. They even danced some of the choreo, very synchronized I might add. It is the highlight of the Re-born episode. I am proud of them. They came here to challenge themselves, to showcase their abillities, but mostly to have fun. And it shows with every stage they perform. They are not pressured to prove something to anyone. Maybe only to themselves, that they still have the passion that drove them in the beginning.
For me, the thing with BTOB is you can feel their sincerity in every stage/song/performance. They're very genuine. Again, it's my personal opinion :)

What made this stand out to me is how clearly we could see their expressions and stage presence, how clearly we could hear the vocals and the melody and how clearly we can understand the concept and theme. Sometimes stages are made so complex and climatic throughout the entire performance that the basic elements are buried instead.
