You can't say they're not being appreciated when there are tons of girl groups and boy groups out there from small companies who get practically no recognition from the general public and get treated like they don't exist. A good recent example is Pixy. They debuted with a unique and interesting concept delivered through powerful music show performances and backed up by videos that contain actual storytelling and lore. But they get slept on because they're from a small company. And even if they do go viral and get really popular it's guaranteed that they will never be as popular as aespa, no matter what they do, because they're not from a Big 3 company. So don't say that SM groups are "not appreciated".
@@Remremi27 Lee soo man has a vision on what his concept in the future will be. He started with EXO as a base and continued with NCT and now Aespa but he included all groups by time (red velvet, shinee Taemin, BoA, Suju, TVXQ as well.. idk bout Gg)
I‘m only really familiar with EXOs concept though. The genius thing about this is that all MV‘s VCRs from from individual groups and from SMTown concerts, short videos etc. are somehow connected with each other from literally every group. So basically the main story continues everytime an SM group has a comeback (not every single MV but almost) and so fans have to figure out what is going on. I believe there is much more than we think.
@Pikadali Well I'm not a fan of the arrangement either but what's more off-putting is that it isn't "new music", SM literally just bought the rights to someone else's song and gave aespa a remake for their first comeback. And look at what they released before this. aespa deserves to have their own songs, not reused ones.
