It's 11:37 PM on St. Patrick's Day 2022 in the Pacific time Zone, and Robert Duvall is still alive. Just wanted to mention this for the historical record.

The Godfather scene reminds me of when big stars like Richard Widmark or Edward G. Robinson would go on variety shows and spoof their greatest roles. Good for Tom and Sally!
There's two clips I wish I could find. 1. They're doing a rundown of mascots or something, and one was Abe Vigoda with his arm stuck in a mailbox. 2. They had just converted to HD, and they were discussing what they could do with the extra space on the sides of the screen. One idea was having Abe Vigoda on each side, playing ping pong with himself.
+obeythemelon The one clip I wish I could find: "What's in My Pillow?" I forget the premise, but pillows were cut open to reveal what was really inside them. One of them contained feathers, another had dead fish, and one of them had Abe Vigoda.

When Conan left the Tonight Show, I had hoped he would do that bit again, like Abe had taken so long to travel across the country from New York to LA that he finally arrived on Conan's final episode.

After checking Abe's Wikipedia page, I learned his wife had passed away in 1992 and he never remarried. No wonder he spent every evening at the theater. And suddenly I'm cutting onions.
