Ok to anyone wondering why these are being reuploaded is
1: rooster teeth being shut down means all their shows are either in limbo or done.
2: the people of screw attack like Ben and chad are trying to keep everything afloat to they can regain their footing.
3: They’re uploading the battles to keep the algorithm at bay.
There’s a void left by rooster teeth amd it will be filled we as fans just need to be kind and supportive.
I think the third one in particular is a big reason. Apparently the lack of animation uploads near the start of 2023 ended up hurting their view counts in Season 10, so they're releasing these to fill the gap a bit.
I think they started those reuploads before the shutdown of Rooster Teeth was announced
I'm sure this is also just a good way for them to earn extra money while they don't have anything new ready to upload. And people always upload "death battles but just the battle part" anyway, so Death Battle may as well just do it themselves.
@@bosskaiju4834 true but it’s still to keep the algorithm wuiet

@@adnan_honest_jihadist5775cool, Raiden is high outer
Imagine Wolverine fighting Juggernaut the same way Raiden fought Armstrong
Nah, Juggernaut didn't make the mother of omelette because he can't fret over every eggs
One thing I think people don't understand about Logan, his bones may be covered, but his joints can't be, otherwise he'd be immoble, so you could easily severe his head from his body, his arms from his body, and legs from his body with reletive ease by simply targeting the points of connection for each limb and his head.
That's makes the reason Raiden winning makes sense
could Raiden's sword cut through Logan's skull like he did in this one, though? 🤔
@@Flutterbutt225 his sword is made out of a vibrating alloy, and in the marvel universe there's a character with a really similar kind of weapon (arguably weaker) that is able to melt/cut through basically any metal, adamantium included
Yes actually:
weapons that vibrate to break molecular bonds, like raiden's sword, work rather well against adamantium.
Just ask Misty Knight
To be fair, you say "with ease" like that kind of precision is normal. Even in a setting like Marvel, most characters don't have that kind of exact precision with their attacks unless they have a specific power or skill giving them that edge. Raiden meanwhile is a cyborg with enhancements that do this for him... not to mention he has a sword that is known to cut otherwise impenetrable metals through vibrating at high frequencies, and similar attacks have gone straight through vibranium before. It's actually kind of a hard counter matchup, Raiden's like Wolverine except equipped with ways to counter Wolverine.
I still remember being in shock back in the day that Wolverine could die at all. I also didn't really get the connections. Now that I've actually played Rising it doesn't feel as absurd. This is definitely a classic episode.
I'm actually in the middle of playing Rising. I recalled the train scene where Raiden got his ass whooped, so I genuinely thought he was gonna lose. Happy he won tho ig

Wolverine.... has not just Universal ... but HIGH universal STRIKING Strength??? ... so you're saying he could punch as hard as the likes of SSG Goku, World Breaker Hulk exc???
Gimme the drugs you're on
Also Raiden doesn't need "Universal Striking" to go through the Adamantium skeleton, as not only shown in the Misty Knight comic but also a Reed Richard comic that ultra high frequency can bypass Adamatium or even liquefy it, Reed applied it to a P L A S T I C K N I F E and it manage to etch into the Adamantium, so no doubt a Carbon Titanium steel Sword with same properties swung by a guy that has a estimated swing strength of 1,000 tons can cut through it .... AND ALL THIS DOESNT EVEN MATTER cause he killed Wolverine in Zandastu mode, meaning even assuming he can't cut through the skeleton ITSELF, he could slice in-between the vetebre in his neck where his brain stem is ,by pass the skeleton all together.

@@adnan_honest_jihadist5775 Dude... you know that in the case of this battle, "Speed and Lifting Strength" as you said are 2 of the most important factors in determining the winner here, right? As another comment said, Wolverine's bones are covered in adamantium, but his joints aren't, otherwise he literally wouldn't be able to move. Decapitating him wouldn't realistically be all that hard even for an athletic man with a sword like the one Raiden has, and Raiden is FAR stronger than the average man.
What are you going on about "he has to have HIGH UNIVERSAL STRIKING STRENGTH", like, buddy, just no. Wolverine doesn't have super crazy feats like some of the other X-Men, and certainly nothing anywhere remotely close to Raiden's, which involve many feats with light-speed reactions, RIDICULOUS super strength with the fact that he lifts Metal Gear Ray and the arm from Armstrong's mech from the worst point possible, and just swings them around like it's nothing. Let's also throw in the fact that he cuts through buildings and mechs with a SWORD that are built for nuclear warfare. Combine that with the fact that Raiden kills people just like Wolverine in terms of toughness throughout the ENTIRE game of Rising, and I don't see how you could deny his victory unless you are wicked high on some copium.
It's ok if you just like Wolverine more than Raiden, nobody is trying to say that Raiden is "ObJeCtIvElY cOoLeR" that Wolverine, but there is absolutely no way that Wolverine could be Raiden in a fight, and that is just a fact with the currently established lore of both, and it was the same 8 years ago when this was made.
I would say "no." I don't think you count as a cyborg unless you have microchips inside you that are somehow monitoring and controlling some of your systems.
...so a pacemaker counts, yet not a hip replacement.
Woimcd.
Raiden: "Are you some kind of cyborg?"
Wolverine: "Well... my bones are covered in the stronger metal around. Does that count?"
I'll just have to swing harder then!
That's a good question does that count?
Never gets old.
Generally speaking no. Cyborgs are almost exclusivly individuals that are "enhance by artificial devices that relies on feedback" i.e. machinery. However some older definitions do include mechanical enchancments as well.
If we go by the og definition however, then any individual that is enhanced by "synthetic parts" are cyborgs. Now that is an outdated way of defining cyborgs but by that standard Wolverines bones would count, and as such he could be called a cyborg. But it's a bit of a stretch so generally: no it doesn't count
"Nano adamantium, son"
The little exchange at 3:00 up to the rear kick is from an older Monty Oum animation he made with the song My Lecon
I wasn't expecting they'd do this with the older fights ("older", as in episodes from as far back as seasons 1-3). In that case, I hope they give us the Iron Man VS Lex Luthor fight soon.
Something I worry about that is since those older episodes used a lot of music that wasn't original, it leaves them more vulnerable to copyright strikes.

@@anightmareonpokestreet5882 it's no problem. To give you a proper explanation, a Metal Gear is a mobile nuclear missile launcher that can defend itself from enemy attacks. The only exception to this is Metal Gear Excelsus, which can't deploy nukes but earns the title due to it's sheer destructive capability, capable of singlehandedly demolishing cities and armies, as well as counter advanced Cyborgs.

I still remember the general audience response to this matchup being announced was everyone being hyped for Wolverine and wondering who was this edgy cyborg. Of course a lot more people now know about Raiden mainly due to Revengeance’s memes, but everyone was genuinely on Wolvie’s side for the debate. So it must’ve come as a shock to everyone when he finally ended up meeting his match. This fight is an absolute trip. Despite being one of the show’s earlier 3D fights, the animation still looks great for its time and the action is a blast to watch, with both fighters tearing each other apart and leaving a mark almost every time. The voice acting is also on point, with Tim Paige giving a solid performance as Raiden and Xander Mobus sounding almost identical to Cal Dodd from the 90s Cartoon. Not to mention this fight contains one of the most brutal and suspenseful deaths of the entire show. Overall, while not on every level, this fight still holds up today and is one of the definitive standouts from Season 2.
This fight will always be remembered by me as the first of many of their bloodiest fights in DEATH BATTLE! history. Sabrewulf VS Jon Talbain and Dio VS Alucard are right next to it too.
This is the way we'd like to see all of your animations for now on..we love this shiii..💯
Love your style, keep rocking it!
Easily on of the best DB animations. Well-choreographed and intense the whole way through.
Ripper Mode coming to play is still such a chilling scene.
This fight is a classic!
This battle was a pretty good one for its age. Though it was a Season 2 episode, it is of relatively high quality, something that is now characteristic of later seasons of Death Battle. The fight scene was in really well animated 3D, and demonstrated both combatants' abilities and fighting styles real good. Not to mention that this matchup was among the closest ones in the show.
The only nitpick about the outcome is about how Raiden's high-frequency blade can cut through Wolverine's adamantium skeleton. While adamantium is vulnerable to high-frequency vibrations that weaken molecular bonds, which would initially make logical sense, Raiden's HF blade would need a frequency at least as much as Antarctic Vibranium to cut adamantium, and they didn't tell what the frequencies are for both of them.
Man, what a throwback 😭💪

Wait, isn't Logan's skull also covered in Adamantium? How was he able to slice it in pieces? (not talking about the joints!)
The bring up the point that in the marvel universe, a character has a sword similar to raidens that can vibrate to the point that it can cut through adamantium, the same way that raidens sword vibrates
@@thebucketofcringeWolfyboy756
Silver Samurai’s sword is almost the same as Raiden’s and he can’t cut Wolverine’s adamantium, btw it’s been stated that there are several types of adamantium, Misty Knight can only bend adamantium not destroy it and that one wasn’t the same type of adamantium that Wolverine’s Skeleton has, so no Raiden would not be able to cut Wolverine’s adamantium
It was a sharp edge battle for those two
This still holds up incredibly well, always loved this animation. Great dialogue too, especially with Wolverine giving Raiden robotic nicknames.
Exo is still my all time favourite Death Battle track. Never fails to give me chills.
My ONLY gripe here is that I don't think it's any more possible to dice up Logan's skull than it is the rest of his skeleton. Other than that, considering I know nothing about Raiden, I'm good with this ending. It's canon AFAIK that the only guaranteed way to kill Logan is to take his head off, so...
I mean, Adamantium being the toughest metal around implies its superior durability to carbon nanotube metals, which are common in Rising: Revengeance. A singular CNT, roughly half a nanometer in length, needs around 60,000 joules to destroy. Judging by the thickness of the average adult male's cranium is approximately 6.75 millimeters, which equates to 6.75 million nanometers, doubling the number (as 1 CNT = 0.5 nanometers) gives us 13.5 million CNTs to break through.
So could Raiden cut through that? Let's see.
Raiden was capable of holding back approximately 300,000 tons with one hand in Metal Gear Solid 4. This is different from his feats in Rising: Revengeance, where he suplexed EXCELSUS and threw RAY; the former weighing around 15,000 and the latter weighing around 1,000 tons respectively. These three feats are rather inconsistent, though Raiden tanking the destruction of EXCELSUS was approximately 180 kilotons of TNT.
Raiden needs to attack with at least 322,014 tons of TNT to slice through carbon nanotube armor in roughly equal thickness to a human male cranium. However, while this may seem impossible for Raiden, it's definitely not, at all. Raiden was at best winded and shocked by Armstrong's ruthless assaults and the destruction of EXCELSUS rather than severely injured. Within moments, he was back on his feet, ready to dance.
This gives me the impression that Raiden is far more durable, and given his parity with Armstrong, far stronger than needed to keep pace with Logan. While I'm uncertain if Raiden can cut through Adamantium or not, I am positive he will never need to actually slice through it. We know the blades in Rising electrically sever bonds between atoms and molecules, thus negating durability. Obviously though, the higher the strength-to-density ratio of a given material, the harder it will be for HF blades to force through, given Raiden's struggle with Armstrong and his defeat at the hands of Excalibur in his respective DEATH BATTLE.
However, we also know Ripper Mode boosts Raiden's speed and strength massively, to the point where Raiden can statue rain and cut through large buildings respectively. So in short: While his base strength alone is in question, his Ripper Mode massively boosting his power overall, on top of the Murasama, will almost certainly cut through Adamantium with enough force. Hope this helps!
To explain this: Raiden uses a high frequency blade which weakens the molecular bonds of a metal. the question posed is whether this would work with adamantium and surprisingly yes because of a obscure character with a augmented arm that vibrates at a high frequency just like Raiden's sword and they show it working on adamantium all Raiden needed to do was strike enough times with a decent amount of strength to do so
he just swung harder
@@Snowie6606 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget Logan has regenerated from a drop of blood. Then, the skull is also covered in adamantiam. Wrong ending.
EXACTLY AND DONT FORGET THAT WOLVERINE GO TOE TO TOE WITH HULK
The high frequency blade that Raiden uses disrupts atoms via quantum decoherences on the planck scale. In layman's terms, the Adamantium that Wolverine's skeleton is made of is being vibrated and torn apart on a level so minuscule that it's durability is negated
The very first death battle I ever saw! Man I still love the choreography & interactions.
One of the best fights in Death Battle history.

This is gonna be a showdown. Cyborg vs. Mutant.
I hope Death Battle uploads more of these Fight only videos. Like Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher, Samurai Jack vs Afro Samurai or even Balrog vs TJ Combo
one thing i wouldve liked to see here in hindsight would be the high frequency blade bending or cutting logan's claws. that would make the final dicing of his head make more sense and the explanation with misty knight more fulfilling.
Can we get Goku Black vs Reverse Flash next in the list?
I remember this years ago.
Maybe if Raiden didn't have this Jack the Ripper power, he wouldn't have won.
Don't get me wrong, I like Metal Gear, including Raiden.
Jack the Ripper was neat, but it’s Raiden’s high frequency blade that was the key to winning.
That could rather easily cut through Wolverines skeleton.

@@untitledperson6162 if Wolverine can survive Spider Man, Thor and Hulk. He should survive Raiden easily
@@pattouco That's not an accurate statement.
Just because X can beat Y doesn't mean Z can beat X.
Hulk has killed the literal entire Marvel Universe in the past, so has literal Punisher, and normal human.
Raiden's sword cuts the same as Murasama, an in universe sword, and Logan has stated it can cut through Adamantium with ease, Raiden is far stronger and faster with his sword than Murasama, it'd take a single strike for his High Frequency sword to sever Logan's neck and a single strike to destroy his brain.
Logan has never regenerated from the destrution of his brain except with the help of the Crystal of Ultimate VIsion when a drop of his blood landed on it giving him access, temporarily, to Cosmic Power.
Love how Raiden's choreography is taken straight from his combos in the game.
That's a nice attention to detail.
this fight got me into metal gear rising revengance. And its now one of my favorite games of all time.
Let’s hope Death Battle is still on!
that was an awesome matchup. I honestly expected wolverine to and due to his healing factor. I wish I did an in-depth on both of them to see how exactly wolverine lost. I am happy my boy came through. these two are my favorite characters. It was awesome to see a fight
Oh yeah, this episode can get reuploaded without risk of KRplus's music copyright BS despite being from Season 2 because of Exo!
A classic but easily a top 10 Death Battle for me even to this day.
Death Battle Ideas List :
1.Gon Freecss vs Yusuke Urameshi (Hunter x Hunter vs Yu Yu Hakusho)
2.Madoka Kaname vs Usagi Tsukino (Puella Magi Madoka Magica vs Sailor Moon)
Don't bother submitting new ideas. Death battle is dead. Rooster Teeth is shutting down and Death battle is going with it.
This episode was so fun 🤩
2 of my favorite characters VIOLENTLY RIPING EACH OTHER TO SHREDS!!!🔥🔥🔥
Can't wait until next season!
This is one of my favorites
I haven't seen anyone talk about it, but the voice actors for Raiden and Wolverine in this fight are pretty spot on.
I love how they turn this fight into a slugfest with both characters just wailing on each other when in reality whoever cuts the other first essential wins 😂
If anyone’s wondering about them reuploading just fights, in addition to RT shutting down, they are also meant to combat rando channels that just upload DB fights without the research.
Figures that if people are gonna upload them anyway, might as well get the views on the original channel
Can't they go on there own or with someone eles?
You can really see how far the animation has come since this originally aired. It's still cool, but there's an underlying current of awkwardness that isn't nearly as noticeable in, say, Freeza vs Megatron
This is my favorite fight in season 2. I remember showing this to my sister and she was so salty while i knew Raiden had this in the bag. Good times.
Oh yeah, this one's a classic
Easily my favorite fight from season 2
Awesome video!
Sharp take, but I like raiden's fight in here more than the excalibur episode. It's got really great choreography and showcases raiden's fighting style pretty well (or more specifically 🦿).
I hope you guys are alright it has been a while since we have had a new one
This fight came out like in 2015 it’s still a good one , but is there something wrong for the new series of death battle to come out?
I'd like to see a battle royale death battle between all members of the Bat-family (Excluding Batman and Alfred). Basically seeing who the ultimate Robin or Batgirl is
Death battle idea: Gru vs Doofenshmirtz
