Even tho there were grps bfore svt who produced their own music, SVT was actually the first grp to be called by the kor gen public as the Self-Producing idol grp with knife-like choreo bc they basically do everything EVERYTHING:
choreograph their own dances, produce&compose their own songs and write lyrics to ALL of their music, designing their own logo and mascot (BongBong doll), designed the second version of the Carat Bong lightstick and since last yr, they’ve been producing ideas on what to show in their weekly Going Seventeen reality/variety show to liven up carats’ lives...BEST BOYS INDEED!!
And these boys have been training their own fandom to not only rap and sing through the fanchants, but also be self-producing as well and now we’re building our own albums lmao istfg these boys need to slow down! I love that Seventeen doesn't write just "love" songs. I know other K-Pop groups write songs with many versatile concepts but Seventeen have written many songs that are just about getting better, enjoying life, and being happy. Sure there are some lyrics that can be interpreted as romantic when it comes to who the "you" is they are talking about, but songs like "Healing", "Smile Flower", "Us, Again", and now this one are just about finding joy in adventure and others. They can write beautiful love songs like "Pretty U" and fun ones like "Mansae" but between their unique sound (which I truly believe comes from them having a more hands-on self-production approach than other groups) and just their wonderful lyrics, Seventeen really does create something special with every new song they release.
