What’s the movie about?

Saddest part of this movie is when he tells an imaginative story to keep him and his son’s mind off the fact they’re sleeping in a subway restroom.

I used that line yesterday of “I don’t know the answer I will find it” in my interview yesterday. I got the acceptance letter today! I literally watched this scene before my virtual interview. And they told me I was the FIRST person to ever dress up in a virtual interview! I needed this for inspiration
The "nice pants" line is actually secretly genius because
Smith really nailed this role. No matter what if this movie is on I always find myself watching it from whatever point I find it to the end.
I remember really nailing it in my interview on my first job. When I was interviewed, the Head Supervisor asked me what I've been doing for 5months before this interview and I told him truthfully that I applied to more than 12+ companies and there was no callback since. When asked "why should we hire you despite it all?" And I responded, "Because I keep on trying. I wouldn't be here if I didn't try." After all that, I was hired right then and there. It was a very memorable interview for me and it is something I will never forget in my career. 😊 Keep going 👍
His story didn't demonstrate earnestness, diligence, or team playing...but it did demonstrate honesty and resilience.
I like the receptionist, all professional, bringing in a totally underdressed candidate and still, smiling at him giving him some confidence. Love her.
Can we give some credit to the old guy who didn't just throw him out but asked questions like "have you ever seen him dressed like this?" I work in HR and I have seen so many people who just make snap judgments and don't even give people the chance to explain! Bravo!

I used to watch this movie all the time with my dad. I didn’t realize that he saw himself in this movie. A man struggling to provide a life for his son in a world where it’s tough. I miss my father everyday and this movie reminds me of him so much
