When it comes to bodybuilding, Arnold Schwarzenegger knows best. His plan for quality mass and extreme strength isn't complicated. In fact, it's steeped in the fundamentals and old-school exercises that should be at the heart of everyone's program. It's a surefire road to growth, but it's fraught with pain and struggle. If you want to learn bodybuilding from the world's best bodybuilder, you're in the right place.
    | Basics Are Best |
"The biggest mistake being made in bodybuilding today is that people aren't covering basic exercises," says the Austrian Oak. And by basic, Arnold doesn't mean easy. Many contemporary fitness centers are full of people on machines, not in squat racks, and big-box gyms often lack even a single platform. Arnold disapproves: "Today, when I go in the gymnasium, I don't see any of the kids learning about the clean and press, or the snatch, or the upright row from the floor."
Schwarzenegger's insistence on the essential lifts is not due to some grandfatherly desire to live in the past. It comes from decades of continued interest and expertise in the industry, and from the hard-earned knowledge that it doesn't take fancy machines or off-the-wall programming to become arguably the best bodybuilder in history. Get back to your bodybuilding roots and experience unbelievable growth.
    | Arnold Schwarzenegger's Training Tips |
    Chest:
"There are three chest exercises that should always be done," Arnold says. "The bench press, the incline bench press at different angles, and the dumbbell flye."
    Back:
"For back, I did chin-ups, bent-over barbell and dumbbell rows, and the T-bar row. Any kind of rowing movement will give you that thickness. Those are the exercises I relied on from the beginning of my career to the end."
    Arms:
Arnold relied on the barbell curl to build thick biceps, but he also used incline dumbbell curls and concentration curls to isolate his biceps.
"For triceps," Arnold says, "we did a lot of narrow [close-grip] bench press in the early days. And then triceps push downs and overhead triceps extensions later."
    Shoulders:
Arnold's shoulders were built by barbell presses, behind-the-neck barbell presses, lateral raises, military presses, and dumbbell presses. "We always did presses behind the neck and a special dumbbell press which would stretch out the front delt at the bottom and fully flex it at the top. Now those are called Arnold presses."
    Legs
"The squat is the most important exercise to create big thighs," says Arnold. "I did back squats, front squats, leg extensions, lunges, single-leg deadlifts, good morning exercises, and a lot of leg curls."
    Abs:
"The regular training we did for abs was just leg raises, knee raises, crunches, and sit-ups. We all believed in doing 500 reps of Roman chair sit-ups."

@Zeek Banistor I always laugh when I see kids pretending to be grown man. It's funny to see , especially when they have the toxicity of a 9 yr old as you kept spamming that reply in different comments. *Firstly* I used the word "butthurt" as I know kids are watching this and I don't want anybody to get negativity from a motivational Video. *Secondly* What in the absolute f you think a man screwing his maid and cheating on his wife do with a training program and workout. Do you think people will come and see this video and be like "Oh Imma screw my maid , because I love Arnold" Even most of the people don't know that thing. You spreading negativity on someone's other personal life. As his whole personal doesn't relate to this video in any shape of way. It's basically a training video.
Please stop being toxic , Grow up and spread positivity not hate and negativity. Stay Safe , Stay Healthy.

I genuinely think he might be the greatest man who ever lived. You get men who dedicated their lives to a craft, became millionaires etc, and it's ridiculously impressive... but that wouldn't have been good enough for Arnold. He got into bodybuilding and he wants to be the greatest bodybuilder in the world... then he does it. Then he's like "right, best bodybuilder in the world, tick... now I want to be the best action movie star in the world". Then he goes and does that too. Then he's like "Right, done that now... I think I might run for governor of California". Does that too. Not only is that all something very, very few people will ever accomplish, but also, if you read his autobiography, the hurdles and challenges he had to go through to achieve what he wanted to do were often huge, but he didn't let anything stand in his way. Literally incredible.

@@Zombies8MyPizza Interesting discussion I guess. I still disagree though. Arnold was only a master in bodybuilding. He was a successful film star, but not good enough to be considered a 'master' - definitely A list though. And as for governor, he did ok. Nothing amazing, averaging around a 50% approval rating.
So a great individual sure, but to compare him to someone who literally conquered everything from Greece to India thousands of years ago or to the first man to ever reach space puts it into perspective.
I look at it like this. 1000 years from now, Abarham Lincoln, or Yuri Gagarin will still be in history textbooks. Arnold probably won't.

I was amazed that Arnold requested a 9500 life cycle. At the time it wasn't a more modern bike but it was a very good exercise bike. There were times when he would have a bike for himself and his wife delivered. I feel honored to have been able to provide my services for such an iconic figure.

Whenever your body hits the so-called "wall", it's not always so that your body is needing shocked but rather rest. I was 245lbs body weight and couldn't seem to get pass that point. But whenever I took a break I understood that the body was still growing, but it was inward. My bone structure was actually expanding to support the new and heavier body weight. Same goes for construction, you CANNOT build a second floor on sticks. You must have support beams to hold that weight. Likewise for the body, you must have the bone structure to hold the weight add. I took almost 3 months off and when I returned, I packed on a additional 20lbs to my 245lbs structure within a very short time. I hope this knowledge helps someone that has hit the so-called wall, because I know how disappointed I was trying to add size and feeling like I was not getting anywhere. Do your self a favor and give those bones time to expand.

      Mind over Body.
Start taking cold showers to build the discipline to push your muscles to failure everytime you go to the Gym.
My recovery time increased but so did my muscles mass, it's unbelievable.
I spend less time in the Gym but I make sure that every minute in there is worth it.
