Found this some when I was 8 in 2013 I’ve been listening for the last 10 years turned 18 3 months ago this song hits me harder and harder
I’m from the Philppines and I had the honor of hearing these guys live when they came to my hometown very recently for their World Tour and I’m SO HAPPY to say that they still sound just as amazing as they did back then.
But what saddens me is that the current generation of Philippinen concert goers are just super different compared to back then. Instead of just living the moment and enjoying the music, most of them had their phones out to take tik toks, reels, what have you.
I was so glad that they stopped the song during the chorus and told everyon to just PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY. People should just enjoy concerts for what it’s supposed to be: a time to enjoy your favorite artist and rock out to their music.
Once everyone just put down their phones and just started dancing and screaming to the performance, it was MAGICAL. I’m sad that it took the band to actually TELL them to STOP, but at least it happened and the concert became infinitely better.
To future concert goers both in and out of the Philippines, please, please just LIVE THE MOMENT AND ENJOY.

I'm not gonna lie I expected my high school years to be like this. Working at a local store, getting detention all the time, living it up with friends, being young and wild, going to concerts (or being In a band). Except I had the exact opposite rip.

@@seadav0183 < the real comment right there. People always say "things were so much simpler back in ____" and the response is: well of course. You were younger or had fewer responsibilities, plus, your brain fuzzes it all out like a blur filter, so things look softer and simpler - you forget the tiny irks in each day or the small anxieties. Sure, you remember some of the bad times, but nostalgia has a way of painting over memories with a broad brush.
You can thank the shitty PC world we live in now for making life more complicated than it needs to be

ohhh my gosh every single one of my friends hate BLG saying it was those pop punky bands from middle school but honestly this band is my guilty pleasure and I love their ol' music...and their videos!! always got me excited for high school haha..

This was the second to the last song of BLG in their concert here in Manila dated 20 April 2024. Martin encouraged the crowd to bring their phones up and record the first verse and chorus. After that they stopped playing, Martin asked again the crowd to turn their phones down and party like its the 2006-2009's. They played again the song starting on verse 1 and crowd went wild and jumping all over. Needless to say, concerts were really much more fun back in the days because people live the moment. It was truly an awesome experience.
The time that this song came out was a great time to be in late middle school to high school. Good music, social media was still in its infancy, no smart phones, etc. I miss those days 😢

Your show was so great. Im in my 30s now but I felt like I was 15 during that night. Martin requested the crowd to stop recording with their phones for their last song and just jam along, and then everyone cooperated and was jumping and singing their hearts out to this song... everything was so nostalgic and beautiful ...for me, it was not just a concert, it was a temporary relief being an adult and living shortly the life of a teenager once more .. I'm so glad that I bought that concert ticket. I hope you come back soon , we love you BLG!
