@queeb that I agree with! I know 400k is technically the top 1%, but it’s upper middle class at best. You can certainly afford to pay bills, fund retirement goals but your not living lavish at 400k unless you’re hella irresponsible...there are lots of loop holes to close. How about increased taxes on long term capital gains over 400k? Most people don’t realize long term capital gains are taxed at 15% after holding for 1 year. If you’re arguing that the rich don’t pay their fair share, close the gaps they are abusing..but increasing income taxes isn’t the singular answer.
