You are both right in theory, but do you think they used the words we used? I think it's more about the intent of Your words. At one point hell, damn, bastard were all cuss words. Now they are just an accepted part of language and culture. Scripture is applicable across time. You take the intent from the scriptures and apply it to now. Last example, women shouldn't wear what pertained to a man. They wore robes back then, should women not wear robes now? No it's about the intent of you transforming your appearance to look like the opposite sex.

The Bible does not condone profane language.
The Bible’s Stance on Language: The Bible, particularly through the teachings of the apostle Paul, emphasizes the importance of using wholesome and uplifting language. In Ephesians 4:29 (MSG), Paul advises to speak only words that help and are like gifts, avoiding anything foul or dirty. Similarly, in Ephesians 5:3-4 (NIRV), he highlights the need to steer clear of bad language, foolish talk, and dirty jokes, emphasizing the importance of gratitude in speech.
Revisiting Word Meanings and Context: While some words may have had different meanings historically, it is crucial to consider their impact in modern culture. Understanding the intent behind using certain words, how they affect others, and whether they contribute positively are essential aspects to evaluate when it comes to language usage.
Profanity as Verbal Abuse: Swearing is viewed as verbal abuse, contrary to the teachings of Jesus who emphasized the seriousness of harmful speech (Matthew 5:22). The focus should be on speaking graciously and with kindness, as mentioned by Paul in Colossians 4:6 (ESV).

People who were plagued by church hurt and had given up on God write to him daily, thanking him for helping them heal and helping them restore their faith in Christ. People who were otherwise shunned or simply overlooked by the church such as strippers, gangbangers, and just people leading a crooked life in general have written to him to thank him for helping them understand the Gospel and have surrendered their life to Christ and given up their alternative lifestyles after listening to his teachings. I don’t agree with him using strong language but I also look at the fruit coming from his podcast and that’s undeniable. He’s doing the work that Christ did, which was preaching and teaching to people that the Christian society would otherwise not bother about. That’s his mandate from God and he is living up to that.

So, I am just now getting an idea of God's intention on all the things that you have asked. They are great questions. Some of them are answered in the bible. I know this because I have read the bible in its entirety twice in my life. I know the answers are in there but I am still a student, basically for the rest of my life. Thankfully, my pastor at my church do a great job at making the scriptures more relatable, without compromising it's purpose. I pray that you find the answers in the bible and someone can guide you to those answers. One bible translation that I love is The Living Bible Translation. The translation is simplified to current language. Tim Ross uses that translation a lot. Have a blessed day.@@innocentlife2346

Filthy communication is like the f****, mother f*** and so forth as much gossip etc. They do not edify anyone. I know the world’s language is “what it is. “ but we as children of God must be different. We must ask God to help us with our terminology and not to try to be like the world. There has to be a difference. We must draw the line in the sand where our language is concerned. I do understand that our journey is a process and a long one. We keep going despite it all. We grow in the process.

“Bad language” is a matter of society. The Bible warns against unwholesome talk. That unwholesome talks spans much further than 4 or 5 words we consider “bad”.

”Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.“
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I agree to disagree with your stance on course language.

What is foul language? Did exact words that you consider as foul shown up anywhere in the Bible? That is the issue. Intent. We could say "Get away from me!!" And the intent of that statement be considered foul. So don't add North American opinions into what is written because no one in that Bible was saying anything close to what we say now.

I like Tim Ross a lot - love love his podcast… I just agree with him but the cuss’n 😂😂😂 he kinda scooted around that scripture - no judgment here but if we don’t allow our children to cuss, you cuss in a courtroom or the minute you do they tell you to REFRAIN from using FOUL language… and I can list plenty of examples of why it’s consider dirty. 😂😂😂common sense will tell you it no such thang as clean cussing😂😂😂.. I’ll never judge him for it but he got that one wrong for sure!!
