We can have as many parties as we want, but apparently...we have only wanted mainly...2 big parties. Based on voting over past century or so.
Plus, if we had say 6 parties...the most popular person running for a POTUS, or any elected position gets 30% of vote and the 5 other parties get 14 % each. We end up electing a President that only 30% of the US voting population wanted in office. The remaining majority population of 70%...lost out. It wouldn't make sense to vote that way, hence...we inevitably went into 2 ish party system.
Ross Perot did great in 92 as an independent but not enough & those votes hurt Bush n Clinton. Too bad Perot didnt win. Would be interesting to see had he won, how the following almost 30 yrs til now would look like.

And in 1700s too I'm pretty sure, but that was b4 our Republic was established but they had clout, no doubt.😁👍 Also, South always portrayed as racists but silence on truth of North. Since our nation is a republic, "Republicans" should be a plausible name, to keep it simple. But I'm open to other ideas and compromise, like most humans are. Anything in life can become negative when on the fringe or too much or too little of. Too much food, not enough sleep, etc or...Goldilocks and 3 bears story. Good compromise but lol on the B & E! Communication, Compromise and Respect. They all go together and cant work without the others. Very simple concepts and HAS to start at home, in the womb and first 3 to 4 yrs are extremely crucial to brain development. No one wants to talk bout the roots of problems like parenting or lack of.
