I was going to be gone from school for 2 months. It wasn’t a vacation either. Was going to have brain surgery done. It’s a long story. While I loved all my birthday parties as a kid, my13th birthday party was THE SHIT! My mom got a hotel room for me and four of my close friends at the time at the nearest Holiday Inn Express, we all went swimming in its pool, out to a Chinese buffet, and rented a few movies for the night.
