I miss those shorts, and the lack of self consciousness about my hairy knees I had to have had to wear them. And yes, I was like seven and had hairy knees.
You can roll grass! Just put one foot in front of the other, brace your legs very strongly and prepare for a lot of resistance. The trick is to lean back slightly, but not so much that if the grass surprises you by being easy to roll (like the ground is really hard or something) you don't go over backwards. With your feet roughly in line with each other and your legs braced you can roll over almost anything, it's great. I use grass to slow myself down on long hills sometimes, when I don't feel like using up my wheels with T-braking.
I broke my wrist rollerblading 3 weeks ago and now as I sit here watching this unable to use my dominant hand I feel my dreams breaking as well. Wear your wrist guards kids, so the embarrassment at 2:13 isn't compounded by the fact that the EMTs have to take your rollerblades off before they haul you into the ambulance 💀
I've never broken my wrist but I usually wonder how. +1 to wearing wrist guards. Rollerblading is an incredible hobby but broken wrists are all too easy to achieve.
seriously now, bdg has really mastered internet humor. the way he uses editing and transitions, the amount of things he says and shows one after the other, the dentist ad music in the background, the abrupt change from mock interview to existential horror. Is all perfectly, absurdely well crafted and really fucking funny. Not even Neil Cicierega himself would dream of something like that congratulations buddy
Tbh grass is still skatable with enough effort. I use it for slowing down on hills (just roll off the footpath and onto the grass with very strongly braced legs in case of surprise hidden terrain). You can also roll down stairs with enough practice (although I've never been a fan, just too easy to end up going face-first into the concrete).
This is one of those videos that’s just impressive regardless of what planning went into it. Regardless of whether it’s scripted or improvised, his delivery is perfectly comedically on point, and the editing backs it up beautifully. 11/10 will watch again

With your feet roughly in line with each other and your legs braced you can roll over almost anything, it's great. I use grass to slow myself down on long hills sometimes, when I don't feel like using up my wheels with T-braking.
Whenever Brian starts explaining something I immediately get flashbacks to Jorts and Being your own boss. I can never trust these videos again.
Is this a promo for Waluigi's Walurollerblading? Either way, nice 'stache.
I'd buy that for several dollars

"It's time. It's time to get good at rollerblading."
Not even Neil Cicierega himself would dream of something like that
congratulations buddy
crash, fade to black, fade in: "hey, you, you're finally awake"
underrated comment
That's exactly what I was expecting.
the moment the camera fell down and the filter changed my brain automatically went "ah there's the weird part"
I legitimately thought the twist was going to be that he’d died and was in rollerblader purgatory, where there is only grass.
Now that I think about it, there is no evidence that my theory isn’t true 🤔
Same, I went 'Welp, guess it's horror time!'
This feels like it should be the backstory to a weird Saturday morning cartoon villain who ants to destroy all grass.
0:44 I'm seeing the Old Bay crab vibe move on display here
I won't lie, that's a great fit
ong
I film entertaining vids just like Brian . I bet 100% it’ll make u laugh. If not you can come back to tell me g
it could a 100% be found in a pokemon game
@@clarawoodman9331 you are SO right
Yea like where are the links to that fit??? Still waiting
There are (obviously!) only two kinds of people in the world:
Those who rollerblade through a limitless world - and those who do not do that, YET!
I feel like he just saw those sunglasses at a store and the entire video idea came to him fully formed
I was just about to comment that roller blades are limited by grass yards, but i'm happily suprised that my guy, gilbert, saw the error of his ways.
First thought after he says rollerblading is limitless, “grass!”
Second thought: Stairs
Third thought: traffic
Water?

Tbh grass is still skatable with enough effort. I use it for slowing down on hills (just roll off the footpath and onto the grass with very strongly braced legs in case of surprise hidden terrain). You can also roll down stairs with enough practice (although I've never been a fan, just too easy to end up going face-first into the concrete).
As a person who recently picked up rollerblading I feel attacked
Oh how quick the rollerblader is brought to heel, by the endless lawn
This video is criminally underrated
This is one of those videos that’s just impressive regardless of what planning went into it.
Regardless of whether it’s scripted or improvised, his delivery is perfectly comedically on point, and the editing backs it up beautifully.
11/10 will watch again
if you like this style of comedy you should try watching the tim and eric show from adult swim. The style of comedy in this video is extremely similar to the show.
Okay, I knew a guy JUST like this in high school, but it was a skier.
Oh, no doubt. Skiers can be so obnoxious, man. Snowboarders are way more chill.
@@Snarl_Marx The skier bro I mentioned would get SO MAD about snowboarders. If he went up to Mt. Wherever over the weekend and saw a snowboarder on the slopes, you would fucking HEAR ABOUT IT on Monday.
What is skiing, but rollerblading on snow?
Skateboarding:Rollerblading
Snowboarding:Skiing
Surfboarding:???
You see skiing isn’t really about going down a slope fast it’s a way of life. Ask yourself how do you want to go the hill it’s all about control.
