That vortex is surprisingly brutal!
For the wave generator, it looked to me like the tank wasn't long enough for it to shine. A longer tank might have let it make more interesting waves.
Or maybe the speed at which the waves were formed? The tires more submerged?
I'd say a change in depth at the far end would be really interesting.
You can calculate the resonance of the tank for the length and depth and work out the best wave period.
@@fyaunzaunthey needed to be in phase and produce a wavelength that resonates.
problem is also that the amount of water that was moved was on the small size, most wave generators I have worked on use a segmented wall that hinges at the bottom of the tank or one that moves then entire wall back and forth. with the amount of water that is moved then you can create very large waves in seconds. (Large Wave Flume (GWK) in Hannover for example)

11:07 RIP to all the brave lego sailors who died in the HMS Legolander, killed by an unidentified sky crane (USC)😢😢😢😭
I honestly didn't know the Lego ships actually buoyant... that's quite impressive how you create all your machines
you were actually able to get an "under water power unit" for some of the boats. My brother has/had a lego fire fighter boat that you could clip a little underwater prop on the hull. I have a speed boat that allows the same attachment. Look up Lego kit 4031; the back of the hull had a little pin mount where a torpedo style drive unit could clip into.
Legos trap a ton of air inside, so the boats can float for normal reasons but they even start floating after capsizing and even normal Lego builds float because of all the air trapped inside. I used to play with legos in the bathroom sink because most builds float easily
Also I would make builds like pontoon boats with wine bottle corks and scotch tape
I appreciate it being blurred out when the pipe for the pump was raised. My grandmother thought it looked very rude.

after seeing him make 6 different creations that all should have had their own amazing video, and then using it for 2 minutes before ditching it and making the next one, i wouldnt be surprised if off camera he had the crane pick up 1 stone at a time until it was filled
What a brutal challenge, love the ways and the build you come up with to defeat varying levels of difficulty. That trebuchet looks soo cool.
Sir, that was not a trebuchet because their was no counterweight. That was a catapult.
@@Cman21921uhhh, wikipedia disagrees but also agrees? Even if it had a counterweight it would still be a catapult
Wikipedia:
A trebuchet (French: trébuchet) is a type of catapult that uses a long arm to throw a projectile. It was a common powerful siege engine until the advent of gunpowder. The design of a trebuchet allows it to launch projectiles of greater weights and further distances than that of a traditional catapult.
@@majesticeagle5461 the distinguishing feature of a trebuchet is the sling, although the counterweight is also heavily associated with it.
@@josephbevan1036 yeah I figured that, not exactly a catapult expert, but it is still a catapult anyways(if the info there is right)

It’s amazing how lego technic could be used to create legitimate machines, like that wave machine/giant trebuchet/water pump, everything in this video is incredible
10:55 that was epic 😂😂😂
The pump was funny, just pumping water onto a ship is the cheekiest way to sink one.
I love how for the first boat you basically made a rock-firing autocannon to sink a small rowboat.
I'm mind-blown by the amount of talent and effort that went into this, but also by the realisation that so much of what we do is purely driven by the impulse to see things go FWOOSH SPLASH WHAM BAM
I am impressed how well designed (in terms of not sinking and managing to keep floating) these LEGO boats are!
All these boats use a similar one piece hull structure to ensure they float and don't leak. If the hulls were constructed using regular bricks, there's a 0% chance any would float
It's literally made from plastics
