A fire station with fire trucks, mayby even add a fire rescue helicopter, to help with forest fires on your mountains. A little cropduster plane for the farm would be fun to. Refueling vehicles and shuttle busses are also seen on airports.
I agree, this building could be near or integrated into the air traffic control tower; most ATC towers have support buildings at the bottom or have a much wider tower portion with that stuff inside
I'd rather you keep the city/airport more realistic. While a launch platform would be super cool, I think a few hangars with smaller private planes would fit better. Maybe even a helipad!
You could use that space for a cargo airport!!! Slightly larger planes with big wooden crates, forklifts, and a warehouse or fenced in lot to store the cargo. You can even continue your mafia storyline from the old factory with a crate of guns or gold bars. Maybe there is a shipment of dinosaur bones or art for a museum. Endless opportunity for storytelling!
@@davidprentice4732 I think you are totally right! I mean he already makes a great wood pallet! Adding a lower level shore line like he did on the other side could make it an air/sea cargo hub with options to expand to rail in future years!
@@SpazzyMcGee26 I guess I didn’t accurately say what I meant, but I was thinking about package containers that go up in planes with UPS/FEDEX. A more expanded cargo area could look cool though

As a commercial pilot in the US there shouldn’t be really tall floodlights sticking up along the ramp/taxiways. It’s a major safety risk for clipped wings. The FAA and ICAO have mandates for signs and lights to be a certain height off the ground and to be easily knocked over if hit to reduce potential damage on collision. Often times flood lights will be placed in the ground or on top of terminals/buildings
@@frankejk when the plane hits the lights because of their positioning, neither the plane, the lights nor the passengers will care if it's in Europe or America.
FINALLY! lol it’s been too long! You really are teasing us by uploading so many updates to your other channels and not on here haha. But seriously I can understand the work that goes into all of these and the inside looks cool, but a bit empty from the outside, would be better to see another floor I think, but expanding the terminal is so exciting!
While a launch platform would be really cool, I think it might be a tad too unrealistic. Maybe add a rescue helicopter base and fire trucks in case of emergency. Oh and I suggest that you add a windsock as well, that’s pretty essential in airports.
I feel like the air traffic control tower should probably use a 6x6 core instead of a 4x4 one, since it looks a bit disproportionate at the moment, and I don't see any method of entrance/exit. I also think the tower should be either embedded into or placed on the other side of the main building; having it on the opposite side of the ramp from the main building might make continuous operation difficult. Such changes might actually make embedding a motor into the tower easier as well, with the extra space.

Loved the video, and as a pilot and AFOL myself, I have a few suggestions! The vegetation does look excellent, by the way. First: Add some sort of a door at the base of the Air Traffic Control Tower, and a path to it. How are those li'l guys supposed to get in? Otherwise, I love the ATC Tower! The top and interior look fantastic. Second: Instead of a launch platform (which while it would be cool, in my opinion would look a bit unrealistic in that spot), add a fuel station and maybe a helipad. I think that would look epic! You could also perhaps add part of a decommissioned runway if you wanted, it would be a fun challenge on the diagonal. You see these every once in a while. It would have a big "X" at the end and could just be a short segment, like it crossed runway 15-33 but was put out of service for some reason. Third: Add a PAPI or VASI system to the side of your runway. No regional airport would be complete without them! Fourth: It bugs me just a little bit that one of your airplanes has winglets and the other does not. I think it looks better with winglets, and it is a bit more realistic. But in the end this is just a nitpick. Finally, the placement of those floodlights is pretty hazardous, and seems to be waiting for an accident with a wingtip. They are typically placed on buildings, such as the terminal. Besides, with those floodlights covering the whole area you won't be able to see the runway lights as well. You could also add lights to an aircraft if you wanted. It would be difficult, but look so cool!
Lack of winglets and somewhat different liveries sugests slightly run-down small airline with planes acquired in different time. I think it even add more realism and really give visual variety.
@@paveloleynikov4715 Yes, it's just that (in my opinion anyway) the Lego wings look odd without wingtips of some sort, real wings (on most airliners) do not just stop like that. they will either extend out to a point or have a wingtip device.
For the place near the airport I think a logistic hub (Fedex/post, marchandise, wharehouse, etc.) would be a more realistic and better idea. Also you could continue the story telling with mafia that often used logistic hubs to hide and export theirs "goods" ! Nice update though !
agree - a cargo terminal would be a great addition, maybe it could be a maintenance hanger with a small cargo terminal attached, it would then allow a road behind with trucks collecting / dropping off... and building on the mafia / counterfeiting theme and some different types of vehicles. A tow truck would also look cool, to pull the planes out of the taxi way, as well as food trucks that raise up to the rear aircraft doors and baggage trucks. And finally, like a few others have said, maybe in time it would look even better to have your own planes rather than the lego ones, the latest Lego jet 60367 has a better nose but the tail looks wrong, and Bigplanes has smaller scale ones...
My thoughts regarding the unused space and general ideas: 1. Personally I'd love to see some original self-built planes instead of the standard lego ones. Don't know what your stance on that is, but in my opinion, I don't like the moulded single piece cockpits and airframes. It always looks like duplo. 2. Instead of a launch platform, I'd do some aircraft maintenance hangars, a cargo terminal and an airport firestation. 3. Vehicles: Refueling trucks, tugs/super tugs, luggage transporters, follow me vehicle, airport firetrucks.
The air trafic control tower is so cool !!! You should add mini-bus for customers of the airport ! and a fire station too will be great ! Thank you for your videos! Your city is amazing !!!
I think you should make a lake in the empty area close to the airport. It’s pretty common to have water areas near airports, and you could have a new section of your city with a lakefront, some cottages and what not.
Maybe a long term parking lot is a nice idea, great spot for some story telling as well. Also maybe fit a battery in the planes so you can light up the wings, should be great visuals and a possibility to add some different color lights. City looking great Champ!
Just make the airport double story with arrivals on one level and departures on the other. If you keep the windows angled out then there would be even more floor space on the second floor.
Vehicle ideas: some "classic" airplanes like biplanes and other propeller airplanes. For the "air-enthusiasts" in Lego city. Maybe give them their own vintage style hangar.
Adding a museum would be nice, and you can add dinosaur bones, old pictures, and statues to that. You can also add a small zoo with basic animals but an attractive one as a major part because you mostly have houses and shops. Big and antique buildings would be nice. Also, you can add tall skyscrapers and buildings in that as you have made an airport and you can show it as a more developed part of the city like New York, Chicago, etc.
Throughly enjoying your take on a Lego airport so far. You add so much detail that really makes it come alive! The chairs and cafe look espcially great. While space may prove tough, I think it would be amazing to connect up the train or tram system to it. All airports serve as a transport hub, so it would make a lot of sense!
The plane's ground generators are also missing. You can place the fire department in the empty part, and next to the runway you can create an accident with firefighters putting out the fire or helping people out of the plane.
great episode, I think it would be awesome if you somehow integrated a train station into the airport. It would look really cool to see the train drive into the terminal somehow to drop off passengers.
A space launch site would be cool, but they're usually on coastlines far away from any civilians, as much of the area needs to be shut down in the vicinity of a rocket launch - So I think that'd be cool, but right next to a public airport... probably not.
I think adding a windsock and some red light indicators on top of the terminal/atc tower would add some neat details, a fence around the airport could add to it as well. The launch pad might look a bit odd that close so maybe a maintenance hangar or cargo area could work in the empty space
A factory would be cool, for the unused space! Or like a warehouse or something. Could continue the mafia story line as well- having someone set up in there trying to make a deal to smuggle stuff onto the planes 😅
I'd like to see a much bigger airport personally. It seems a bit too small for an airport. Also, some other comments said private hangers. I think 1 of those would make more sense than a launch platform. It's entirely up to you though. Glad to see another upload, it made my day!
I like the idea of a second floor with reasturants and a viewing area. I also think you need more departure/arrival boards inside the terminal, you could have them hanging down from the ceiling. The airport is looking amazing though!

Would love to see you get in contact with BigPlanes and see some of his extremely detailed planes on the airfield. I think it would really add to the whole setup instead of using the basic brick molds! Nice to have you back anyway!
Bob talked about it this before (on his german channel at least). Because of the limited space, he needed to downsize everything quite a bit. Brick-build planes would've been too large to fit comfortably. So for the time being no big planes. He wasnt too happy with the moulded pieces either, so maybe we'll get some brick-build planes when he expands the airport.
Wow such a massive update. So much careful planning for so many new features. Well done. Airports take up so much space, especially if you want it to represent reality. I love all the intricate details you do everywhere. You are an inspiration. I found you originally from your first moon video and have stayed because everything is so well made and detailed. Definitely looking forward to the upcoming moon base update.
Maybe try adding some sort of Barbwire fence around the airport? And then maybe even a group of people trying to break through and steal a plan. Just and idea!
I'm 2 minutes in, and damn, the techniques are so much more nice and clean than before. The Airport is really a level above everything you have done so far!
You could add a helicopter pad somewhere too, and put like a governmental leader getting off and into a limo or something. Just an idea 🙂 amazing video as always. Wish I had thr money for all this 😅 Keep up the good work 👍
Looks great - Suggested vehicles: a petrol/gas truck; passenger bus; a pushback tractor/tug Also ideas inside the airport: a chapel, arrivals/departures signs, a sports bar
Peak Video as always, I’m loving the dedication towards this project and I’m excited to see where it goes (also I think we need a tiny little luggage cart for the airport, it just won’t feel right without one)
I absolutely love this channel , I found it a few weeks ago and have since binged every video ! I’m so invested, these r some of the best mocks I’ve ever seen
Consider using the extra space by your airport for a military hangar - maybe with a helicopter or two. Also, you could add an airport fire/rescue station to deal with a plane crash.
I love the progess you've made! A few more vehicles/Equipment we (Rampers) commonly use: Cargo Tugs (Those little electric or Gas tractors which pull the baggage carts) Baggage carts Pushbacks (Either Traditional or Lectro) Service Equipment ie: GPU's (Ground power units), Air start (In case of APU mechanical failure), Pre-Conditioned Air carts (Pretty self explanatory), and LOTS of cones. Overall Great Job! quick note, since you're going for scale and realism, those aircraft (size, engine config, etc) would most likely translate to an ERJ 170/175 in reality. They only have two (2) wheels on each Main landing gear. Keep up the great work!
Great video as always! In my humble opinion, I think the 4 stud wide airport service vehicles work really well. They are kinda quirky in real life. Keep up the awesome work👍
Oh man, I was just thinking yesterday how much I was looking forward to the next update. The airport is lovely. I really appreciate how much care and attention you give to the little details.
Amazing work man! All your different designs always blow my mind. I think a race track in the empty area by the air port would be cool. Excited to see what's to come. Keep up all the awesome hard work!
Fantastic...I totally enjoy U'r building process & look forward to seeing the entrance to the airport...also seeing U'r design for the airport fire brigade vehicle & station...oh & perhaps the fuel tanks & the vehicles for pulling the planes into taxiing position. Very inspiring for me to continue working on my lego neighborhood I started 😊
As a Dutchie my first reference of an airport is Schiphol. Schiphol’s traffic tower is a lot larger, because of the many lanes and planes they simultaneously work with. Even though this airport is smaller, I would consider making the construction a bit wider and taller, because now the people inside have no way to leave the tower. The terminal looks way bigger as well. Perhaps picky, but it could make sense to do this if you go with the plans of adding an hangar or launching platform next to the airport. 😄
The amount of effort it must take to design, build, shoot and edit all this! I think a lot of people appreciate what you are doing, great work! By the way, if I were a resident of the Lego city, I would love to have railway access to the airport, but before that there are other things necessary such as a parking lot and an airport hotel. Also, I love the baggage related builds! I look forward to all of your uploads!
My instincts tell me that a large hangar for cargo planes and shipping could fit in the open space of the airport, but I think that might be a bit beyond the scale of the airport and town you currently have. Perhaps a small or medium sized hangar with some privately owned prop-driven airplanes could fill some of that space, though? It could even tie into the mafia storyline somehow, if you really wanted to go all in. Otherwise, I'll second some other people's suggestion that a small space for emergency response vehicles for the airport seems appropriate. Love this update! Keep up the beautiful work! My favorite detail today has to be the guy rearranging his suitcases to fit the weight limit.
I saw this in my sub box and literally went “ah yeah” I really look forward to your videos every time. They make me nostalgic for the time I spent making MOCs as a kid with Lego Star Wars and makes me want to buy Lego again.
You make us wait for an update but as ever it's a worthwhile wait! Love the terminal interior, very clever building techniques. And the control tower is awesome. Still the best city!
Perhaps you could simply add a second floor and a another one underground. Use the upper floor for departures, the ground floor for arrivals and the subfloor as a big underground terminal for the trains.
You should definitely add some hangers for private aircraft and such! Being able to look in and see people working on a small prop plane would be awesome!
I adore all the little airport vehicles! Would love to see one of those luggage carriers with the train of little trailers behind it, and maybe if you’re wanting something to add to that green area, maybe a little airport fire station with a few trucks?
Most airports have an area dedicated to shipping packages and other items that are not passengers. This is a huge part of the infrastructure of modern airports and you could even incorporate the mafia's illegal activities there for more story telling. I think that could be really cool, also the fire fighters/ emergency response teams, and a fueling/ maintenance area for aircrafts. Can't wait to see what you do next!
Great job man! I love seeing my two passions mix! FOr the arrivals, you could add a second floor with and escalator that leads to the unfinished part of the airport. or move the ticket counter, security and the news stand to the unfinished part and replace with the baggage claim.
Looks amazing! It would be great to see a little airport fire station, you could have some story telling potential with that. Another idea is having a viewing platform or area for plane enthusiasts which can also can be good for story telling.
For the extra space by the airport, I think it would be pretty cool to add a helipad. It could be the starting point of things like helicopter tours, fire and medical services etc. Additionally if you could, it might be pretty interesting to have a train station attached to the airport where people could take a train into the city. Or possibly the trolley line could also connect to the airport, but that might be a bit of a stretch 😜. Great work though it looks amazing!
Bro went for the jugular with the guy reorganizing his luggage. That’s happened to me quite a few times and it’s really stressful every time but is like such an iconic airport feeling. I’m glad it was included
Dont forget that airports usually have cargo warehouses for cargo aircraft such as the Air Force, UPS, Amazon etc. The next vehicle you should try to build is for a cargo aircraft, and the vehicle is called a 60k tunner, its used in the military, i'm unaware if its used for anything other than that, but it'd be neat just to see a scissor lift with pallets on it.
I think adding a people mover between sections of the airport would be great, they are always fun. An airport shuttle to transport the people out and in the airport would also be cool.
I enjoyed seeing the terminal come to life! Its size and design reminded me of when I flew through the pretty newly renovated, but still small, airport in Montería, Colombia. There were only 4 departure gates, and everyone had to walk out to the planes; meanwhile, all arrivals were funneled through the same door from the tarmac to 2 baggage conveyer belts. May be worth checking out for some inspiration. I agree with others a cargo hangar would be a fun addition.
Awesome idea!
I was thinking about the tractor with multiple carts carrying the luggage
The fire station could also have one of those fake planes they use for training
Maybe a maintenance hanger, off on the green part. Make the air traffic control tower a little bigger, with a lift or external stair.
I'd rather you keep the city/airport more realistic. While a launch platform would be super cool, I think a few hangars with smaller private planes would fit better. Maybe even a helipad!

That interior reminds me a bit of the airport St. Jacques de la Lande (RNS). Nicely done!
WOW - I love it - keep up your excellent work. So much fun. Thank you - thank you.
You can add some trees on that empty space, and in the future add a second runway, maybe a smaller runway for smaller planes.
Trees?
@@Galahad5436 yeah, some little trees or bushes
@@jenkiss2494 I'd advice against having any kind of wooded vegitation inside the operations area. That's a Massive hazard
Maybe using the space next to the airport for military purposes would be a cool and more realistic option.
That would go against Lego
@@s.p.8803 Haha good thought
Something I always do at the airport is take a photo of the plane so you could have a person at the window taking a photo of the plane.
This is simply amazing! Also, the airport could do with a cargo area! Looking forward to more videos!
True! But he'd have to build bigger aircraft in order to justify having a cargo area. Those little E175's cant carry much of anything but passengers.
@@alexanderwalley2639 true, but I meant for dedicated freight aircraft!
Wish I had thr money for all this 😅 Keep up the good work 👍
Looks great - Suggested vehicles: a petrol/gas truck; passenger bus; a pushback tractor/tug
Also ideas inside the airport: a chapel, arrivals/departures signs, a sports bar
The amount of detail you add to your builds is always impressive!
The air traffic control tower is very impressive. Good work.
I agree, he is light years ahead of just about every other lego channel.
As always your creative approach to building just astonishes me. Love your updates, would love to visit the museum/display someday.
It is always a pleasure to have a notification for your videos. Your channel is my favorite Lego one. Greetings from France !
The attention to detail is awesome! You never fail to impress
Consider using the extra space by your airport for a military hangar - maybe with a helicopter or two. Also, you could add an airport fire/rescue station to deal with a plane crash.
Phenomenal with the airport! Getting flashback to my red airplane & airport firewatch LEGO times
I love the progess you've made!
A few more vehicles/Equipment we (Rampers) commonly use:
Cargo Tugs (Those little electric or Gas tractors which pull the baggage carts)
Baggage carts
Pushbacks (Either Traditional or Lectro)
Service Equipment ie: GPU's (Ground power units), Air start (In case of APU mechanical failure), Pre-Conditioned Air carts (Pretty self explanatory), and LOTS of cones.
Fantastic update! I appreciate the Blacktron and Classic Space cameos too ;)
Amazing work man!
I like how you put so much thought into your builds
Perhaps you could simply add a second floor and a another one underground. Use the upper floor for departures, the ground floor for arrivals and the subfloor as a big underground terminal for the trains.
So happy to see another upload !!
You should definitely add some hangers for private aircraft and such! Being able to look in and see people working on a small prop plane would be awesome!
Nice video. I think you should add this pushback machine so you can get the planes to the runway. 😊
I’m not a big Lego fan, but I absolutely love this channel! I enjoy watching it grow
I adore all the little airport vehicles! Would love to see one of those luggage carriers with the train of little trailers behind it, and maybe if you’re wanting something to add to that green area, maybe a little airport fire station with a few trucks?
Always excited to see the city!
Looks amazing! Can't wait to see more progress on the city in the future!
Glad to see you uploaded another video! Thank you Sir:)
Amazing details !
A race track would be interesting to see. The possibilities are endless and I believe a lot of story telling could be used in it.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 great work! I can't wait to see the lights!
That original Lego space shuttle build would look absolutely amazing next to the airport 😮
YESSSS
I kind of forgot about this series but as an avgeek and Lego fan I love this mixup
Oh my gosh, he finilly came, and he came with a Big proyect! ❤
I love that the moon base build is downstairs from the city.
Awesome looks fantastic.
Lots of coffee in the tower please! much love - From the Air Traffic Control staff of the world
For the extra space by the airport, I think it would be pretty cool to add a helipad.
Every time I watch your videos I want to come there and help you out or just watch how magnificent it is
Bro went for the jugular with the guy reorganizing his luggage. That’s happened to me quite a few times and it’s really stressful every time but is like such an iconic airport feeling. I’m glad it was included
Love the stair carts, this is coming along nicely! 🔥 Can't wait for the moon base video!!!
Always a pleasure to see you upload a video!
For the moon base, maybe you could add a mining operation and science center and a huge crater where an asteroid landed
