lyrics:
Every time you come around you know I can’t say no
Every time the sun goes down I let you take control
I can feel the paradise before my world implodes
and tonight had something wonderful
My bad habits lead to late nights ending alone
Conversations with a stranger I barely know
Swearing this will be the last, but it probably won’t
I’ve got nothing left to lose, or use, or do
My bad habits lead to wide eyes stare into space
And I know I lose control of the things that I say
I was looking for a way out, now I can’t escape
Nothing happens after two It’s true it’s true
My bad habits lead to you
Every pure intention ends when the good times start
Falling over everything to reach the first times spark
Started under neon lights then it all got dark
I only know how to go too far
My bad habits lead to late nights ending alone
Conversations with a stranger I barely know
Swearing this will be the last, but it probably won’t
I’ve got nothing left to lose, or use, or do
My bad habits lead to wide eyes stare into space
And I know I lose control of the things that I say
I was looking for a way out, now I can’t escape
Nothing happens after two It’s true it’s true
My bad habits lead to you
We took the long way round
And burned til the fun ran out,
My bad habits lead to late nights ending alone
Conversations with a stranger I barely know
Swearing this will be the last, but it probably won’t
I’ve got nothing left to lose, or use, or do
My bad habits lead to you
You it’s true, my bad habits lead to you

The fact that they didn't just use Ed's original vocals but re-recorded everything to match the new vibe of the song, that they increased the tempo just a bit and that both Ed and BMTH's essence is preserved... It's definitely a masterpiece!
this recording is based on thier live performance at BRITS a few days back
@@xlleona4532 Actually the studio recording was recorded first, and then they played it live. They just released the studio version after the performance.
Ed re-recorded too in the drill remix with Central Cee and Tion Wayne. I think Ed really care about this!!!
Didn’t know I needed this

This is how collabs should be done. RE-RECORD THE VOCALS. Such a breath of fresh air that Ed added to the collab. Never listened to BMtH before, but definitely want to hear more.
Emo band grown up into something amazing. BMTH has always been amazing.
@@thomasanderson3141 they started as a Myspace deathcore band, that's far from emo.
@@thomasanderson3141 BMTH isn't in any way or form an emo band, nor they ever were. They were a deathcore/metalcore band which is a world apart from emo genre or emo bands. Instead of writting false claims do some reserach before you write things.

BMTH don't betray their values... they look for pop-singers, snatch them, turn them into rockers... and I love it! BMTH are contagious
Don't betray their values? They used to be deathcore.
@@WinterMadness that's not a betrayal of their values. They're still doing metal. If they switched from deathcore to jazz or something, then that'd be a betrayal.
@@adrian225 They are more pop rock than metal these days.
@@WinterMadness depends on the song. You're absolutely right with LosT. Kool-Aid, Amen and Darkside aren't exactly pop though.
@@adrian225 Darkside was used as an official theme for NXT Vengeance Day this year.
This song works ridiculously well as both a pop song and also a pop rock song, more mashups like this should be a thing
Cablecar mashup by ADTR is a pretty good example of Pop rock.
@@bruh..................... LMFAO
i agree but in my opinion it works more like a pop rock song than pop song
Then you'd love Punk Goes Pop volumes.
Its called "Punk goes" there are literally over 10 different albums. personal favourite of mine is love the way you lie by a skylit drive
Honestly not a collaboration I would expect, but it’s definitely a great one.
"A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one."
Literally the story of BMTH lately. Ed Sheeran, BABYMETAL, Tom Morello, apparently theres an MGK one as well but I'm not sold on THAT idea yet......
@@oberlin27 The MGK one sucked imo
Just like how Ed couldn't fix Bieber's shit BMTH can't fix MGK
I mean, the only things BMTH and Ed Sheeran have in common is the fact they are both British.
I’ve noticed a massive blurring of lines between genres across all music lately. The art is evolving, and I’m 100% here for it 🤙
Yesss!!! I love that we live in a time where people are doing more and more their own vibes rather than what the producer thinks will sell. I fucking love I Prevail for giving their label the finger for trying to make them more what’s expected by their target audience. Those cookie cutter songs that each artist are forced to put out do interest me, but I always love the lesser played tracks more.
Good music is good music, genres are barriers that need to be cast down.
BMTH's Post Human Survival Horror is an awesome example of this.
what blurring? this is standard pop rock
Woooooo!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Weird Naruto and Sasuke vibes

Absolutely
I'm surprised how good Ed's voice sounds over metal??????
His voice is a lot more versatile than he gets credit for. When he digs deep into that scratchy/raspiness it works very well with rock and metal.

Actually, this isn’t the first time Ed Sheeran sang in a rock genre. He has a song called, “Blow” featuring Christ Stapleton & Bruno Mars that came out in 2019 with a rock genre. Underrated song imo. He really does fit rock, and I hope to see him do more rock. And as a fan of Bring Me the Horizon (they also have great songs btw)…I didn’t expect this collaboration remix tbh. Lol So this is perfect.
He also helped with the song «Renegade » from One Ok Rock if i remember well
He’s said he wants to do an album with Cradle of Filth, which would be an insane collaboration
What's funny is that Chris Stapleton is supposed to be country, and Bruno Mars is R&B, so that song is kind of funny, since it seems more rock.

Love or hate BMTH, this kind of collab is absolutely huge for the metal & rock industry. I've never really been into BMTH until some of their most recent stuff within the last 1-2 years started giving me huge early Linkin Park vibes, who were the first band to get me into heavier music all those years ago. They've been pushing the boundaries with their collabs with YUNGBLUD and now Ed Sheeran and it's great to see as a metal fan. The track has totally transformed with those chunky guitars and Olly's harsher vocals towards the end, Ed's voice really suits this setting ngl. Sure, there is heavier stuff out there, but goes without saying it'd be incredible to see more collaborations like this in the future! 🤘🤘
Big plus for linkin park vibes

That’s right, this is Fury’s music theme on Gladiators in the BBC One series and she is the first deaf Gladiator. Fury’s real name is Jodie Ounsley the world’s first female rugby union player and daughter of the male former contender Phil Ounsley on Gladiators in the 2008 reboot series on Sky.✊🧏♀️🏉
Yeah she is and she is amazing. Love this song and can't wait for season 2 hope we don't have to wait too long. That's good to know thanks Steve 🙂
@@jessicawilshire7355 Gladiators will return on BBC One in January 2025 with the return of the classic events from the ball rolling Atlaspheres to the terrifying Pyramid, some new events, return of 8 Heats, return of the Christmas Special, Celebrity Special and some new Gladiators both male and female when everybody around Britain will become the contender or the gladiator in the future production.
Oh my freaking-
My jaw dropped several times, I'm obsessed with this
This makes me want to pull out all my punk goes pop, crunk, etc. albums. BMTH has never disappointed me and will forever be my favorite band
Yes! Old school 💪
Every song needs a bit of bmth. They just sound better that way.
I agree!
Agreed👍🏻
Not every song
@@yashindiamente282 well duah! 😉😆
♡
I always felt Ed Sheeran should've sung rock songs. He's got that aggressive rasp in his voice that begs to be in one.
I love how much more Ed sounds like himself in this, his vocals sound free and BMTH compliments him perfect🙌
1:52 Is absolutely phenomenal. I love how well their voices work together! My ears are blessed, thank you.
Best song I've heard lately. Oliver's voice is freaking amazing
Oh my God the vocals in this are to die for, such a good crossover.
Please just make whole album together please, this is banger 👏🏻🔥
The whole song is amazing never thought this collab would happen let alone a studio version but omg I was blown away especially at the end
While everybody is talking about how rocky is this collaboration, me just wondering who did the 3D art masterpiece. I love it so much! I love the song too!
@Work workk thanks for nothing
They have 3D artists as well, although I think the design of the characters and background might be from Alissa Salls, Oli's wife
@@semu8030 aw thanks! Despite the art, i think that there should be the artist credit too
@@kapde638 You're right, even if probably this artist is more than known for die-hard fans, it should be credited for people that don't know them that much
@Work workk ⁰0
I would love if I could listen this song for the first time again
BMTH instr + Sheeran's voc = amazing
Ed Sheeran, more of this please? 10/10, screaming vocals as backing, electric guitar....please use this as a stepping stone into a slightly more metal world. I have said for years you would be great for it, even just as a writer. But this proves it to me that you can do it.
For someone who doesn’t like anything Sheeran makes, this is a damn good track. I think he would sound even better with more metal background music, just like this. BMTH, you continue to ruin my car speakers. Thank you
He's actually in talks to collab with Cradle of Filth apparently (Ed Sheeran was a big fan of Cradle and Slipknot in his teens). Consider me very curious
Guys, I was mildly impressed by the original but this version is by far the best masterpiece of our generation
We need more collabs like this. This is amazing.
If never been an Ed Sheeran fan to be honest, but this is amazing. Not just the track itself but the fact that someone with the influence of Mr. Sheeran even considering to collaborate with a metalcore band is stunning. I wasn't even hoping to hear some heavy singing so the end blew my mind. Also props to the management for letting it happen. Friggin dope!!
bmth isnt metalcore anymore, is like pop atm
Right. A pop artist collaborating with a Rock band is fuckin genuis
@@franciscorivas8156 agreed, more pop than even rock at the moment
@@franciscorivas8156 just because something sounds catchy, that's not mean it's Pop.
Actually this is more into Alternative song, Pop Rock even doesn't have that kind of heavy guitar.
@@KimKim-mt2bb actually, it is pop. There can be Pop in every genre. Pop is not only it's oun "genre" anymore, just like Hurban music (from reggaeton)
Can we give whoever designed this animation for this video some crazy props?! Nailed the lyrics in visual form!
I really want a full music video with this animation style.
it’s like a high quality MMD
Fuck no. This is the laziest music video I've ever seen
@@JarrettWilliams99 lol this isnt a music video.... its the official audio. Its just a looped gif instead of lyrics.
great work, but not sure it constitutes anything like a music video.
3:51 WHEN OLI STARTS TO SCREAM! OMG! 🤘💀🤘
THIS is the version they should play in the radio
Getting "That's The Spirit" vibes from that chorus, Ed's and Oli's voices go together really well! Such interesting idea to make a collaboration together ❤️
Yes!!! It's epic!
That's the spirit was the worst albulm
Bmth stopped sounding good after sempiternal
@@mrdemiurge7680 cant dissagree but survival horror is pretty good and i gotta give pass to some of the thats the spirit too, but other than that...
@@mrdemiurge7680 well, thats just like your opinion, man
@@Plazzeh not just my opinion, alot of bmth fans actually
They sound like any old generic pop rock band now and don't make anything original anymore like asking alexandria
It’s awesome seeing bmth going through so many genres and still being successful with whatever they do wether it’s metal or pop and this is a mixture of both and sounds great!
Hello! I made a lyric video of the song and I will be very grateful if you chek it out! Thank you!❤
I don’t know how I hadn’t listened to this until today cause I was missing out!
Amazing song, I can't get enough! I hope ED does more colabs in the near future
I never liked bad habits but bring me the horizon made it better
Yeah right!
True
®️
Literally this, I saw BMTH and scrolled back up like "wait a minute lemme give this a chance"
I like how BMTH improved this song , with a little crisp of heaviness tunes from Matt’s drums, Matt’s bass and Lee’s guitar and Jordan’s magic! And of course Oli’s voice gave a kick to it.
Unbelievable isn't it x
Vegan plays bass
Couldn't have said it better.
This is something I need and didn't know it. . . I'm a huge Ed fan, among other genres so this sounds beautiful.
Well done!
Well, this slaps the hell out of my pop-soaked emo heart.
