The flying whale is mentioned in their music “Whalien 52”, is about a lonely whale who couldn’t communicate with others because it emitted a different frequency.. and the whole story of kore (it appears on idol), the whale Jin drown and gave it as a gift to RM its about how he wasn’t alone anymore.. saaaaaad!!! So basically the whale in this mv took them to army so they wouldn’t be only seven.

I'm 44 yr old. I accidentally fell down rabbit hole researching my daughter's new love for BTS 2yrs ago. I loved my house, alternative, pop & dance music. However, i never connected as i did with BTS. For some reason their thoughts, encouragement reaches the heart. I actually don't sexualize them (have people around me that critize me for being BTS fan) i truely deeply respect & and admire their entire discography. Its a masterpiece.

BTS changed my life because, they always teach their fans to never give up. They are so inspirational and their songs just calm one’s heart. My cousins introduced me to BTS, and I’m glad they did. BTS is the best boy band ever for me because they just inspire their fans. They have shown that they never gave up and that is what I like to see in a person. They were nobodies to legends, and they deserve the title “legends”. Their songs even pulled people out of depression and that is a good thing. I will never get tired of them or their music.

I love how you shared how BTS has made you grow. It happened the same for me. BTS was not my introduction into Kpop but they had the biggest influence on my life. Just their messages of self love and accepting yourself for who you are and loving others really changed how I lived my life. To hear that they have touched so many other people especially People of Color. I really love them for that. It is very hard being black and being a little bit different. More So being Black and coming from a West Indian Family. But their message in their songs really give you courage. And I agree all these things feels like it is an ending. I hate the thought. I got into BTS last year at a time when I was depressed after my mom passed away. They just gave me something to look forward to now. 💜💜💜

I'm 68 and I'm ARMY. I saw BTS for the first time on May 20 2018 at the billboard awards and I asked myself who are they, so I started to search information about them and started to hear their music and "Bam" I became an ARMY. I totally love them. They make me fill alive because I love music and hadn't heard such beautiful music in a long time. Music that have a meaning about life. I do respect all Artists and like their music but BTS have been thru so much to be where they are at nw that it moves me. I know other artists have gone thru alot, but the difference is that BTS doesn't lose their ground and stand as humble, caring, loving, as always. They are totally beautiful and amazing. I have not heard music like this in such a long, long, long, time. 💜💜💜

When I didn't knew bts I didn't used to really love myself that much, but now I feel like I love myself more and more thanks to BTS. I've become more accepting and kind. I am like a whole new person now which could have not happened if there was no bts. I started watching bts around 2016, at that time I was having a hard time and watching bts gave me hope that things will get better. I wish I knew them from the starting (2013), cause then I wouldn't have to go through those times where I felt soooo helpless...

Sadly i got into BTS because of the passing of Jonghyun from Shinee. I heard about him passing away and after that i decided to look what kpop really was, the most popular group being BTS, the first song i listened to was Not Today, the visuals in the MV impressed me a lot so together with my best friend, we decided to dig more into BTS, then on New Years 2018 we saw them on TV performing at Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve and we've been into them since then. They also made me more openminded and strong.

Yes this is what I'm saying! Bts changes people. Their openness, their acceptance, their perspectives about other people and cultures. Not to mention the way we view ourselves and how we love ourselves. No one else has ever made me feel this way about music, even tho I've always been in love with music. It feels like their music loves me back 💜

I’m crying so hard I get into BTS when their first trailer was release 2013 I was going through a huge change Living my country and everything I know with my family and move to the US. I always wanted to study and my country France but my family decided something else for me so it was hard leaving everything behind when I get here I isolate myself in my room watching movie and KRplus video that’s how I get to BTS and they make me accept everything that come in life because it’s depend of me to change thing and some opportunities can be good depend of how we use them and since then I have been learning with them. When they give the 2020 graduation speech was very special for me because it was my college graduation. Anyway those 7 kings change my life and give me a dream and make me want to be someone.

I got into bts when my brother and I went back to live in with our mom and my step dad introduced me to j-rock and I looked into jpop but then I saw the thumbnail for bts performing 21st century girl live and I was hooked ever since that was 4/5 yrs ago now I'm entering high school bts has made me more outgoing and confident around ppl and I would not have the friends or even be the person I am now if I didnt stumble onto bts💜

I actually got into BTS in February. i had heard of them but never took the time. The first video/song I heard was Boy with Luv and I can tell you after watching the video I was hooked. Like difficult to stay away at this point. I never get bored and I truly identify with their lyrics. I totally understand when you say they changed your perspective. They break the mold of what a “man” should or shouldn’t be, should or shouldn’t look like and they talk about real things. I am proud to be ARMY.

I got chills watcging and it makes me feel sad that I've only recently got into kpop and BTS and missed out on 7 years I could have been enjoying their growth and music. I am a new Army, February 2020. I had a German exchange student staying with us and she is a hard stan of BTS. She was listening to their music and it got me hooked. I have since tried to get myself caught up on the trials and tribulations of their journey. There is just something about their music and their connection with their fans that has me hooked for life. I just can't explain it right now. Maybe someday I will realize what that is. They are the reason I listen to kpop now. My family thinks I am crazy and wonder why I listen to music I can't understand. I tell them, it's good music and it's the same reason they listen to their music. I have to do a little more research on what the song is about, but it's worth it. I am proud to be Army!

First song was “fire” i know them since “boy in love” but I didn’t get into them ... I was in depression when I really start listing to them and they found the way to me they really get my whole attention and take me away from my thoughts and listening to them was my way to run away from everything that happen around me. After listening to butterfly run i need you for the first time I felt like i’m not alone there’s ppl like me .. without noticing i started help myself to stand again and love who i’m and that life sometimes have to be hard to learn us and to make us stronger , like bts the hard and sad times make us now and as the darkness we have go through as the light in our future .. we’re all special and unique as the way we are and helping others is important cuz by helping them I help myself too that’s why the 7 are special to me I learned something from each one of them and that makes me who i’m now 💜

BTS helped me pull out of a severe depression by teaching me to love myself and by feeling accepted by fellow ARMYs. I believe I wouldn’t be here today, living my best life filled with joy and BTS, had I not stumbled upon them two years ago. I never liked Bts but on day while I was at camp one of friends in my group really liked them and a couple weeks later I started liking them ans now I love them, who can agree with me that they have changed us for the better and that they are amazing and will continue to support them with love and only love.

This song and MV is basically telling us that we saved them, as much as they did us. Watching the MV with you made me cry again, but your ending comments about how they changed you for better got me a second time within the span of one video. Would hit the love button if there was one! 💜

If you notice when the guys touch the purple light (that represents Army's) it opens up into the purple ocean, it shows that BTS are no longer alone. The way they got up to the pedestal to perform was on a whale which in the song "Whailen 52" represents loneliness. It shows that they felt alone while trying to succeed, but are no longer alone because they have army's. But, that light I think also represents that army are no longer alone. As soon as BTS touches the light it opens up into what looks like a concert showing that all in all army's are not alone because they have other army's and BTS themselves to lean on and take comfort from. i've been with bts since they first started in 2013 and during that time i was teased a lot in school, didn't feel accepted and felt left out and i've been on and off from kpop cause before i wasn't sure what kpop was cause i was in year 3 during that time and i no knowledge about kpop and after that when i heard JK's song euphoria it brought me to tears cause it taught me stuff and it's like they really understand what i'm going through and i got back to the kpop world in i think sometime in 2017 and permanently glued to kpop and always listening to their message in their song and hearing their back story. Before i was always depressed and lonely and honestly constantly thinking about running away from home but from then on because of bts i have changed a lot cause of their support and love for their army and also because of the help of other supporting kpop groups.
Sorry for the long story but this was my life story before listening to bts. -
