I don't get when people say that they stopped listening or left because of the fans. I was a fan of bts since 2016 and it wasn't until this year when I went on Twitter did i realize that fanwars exist. My point is that you can listen to the music, support the artist and go ur way. That's what I did and I was much happier back then than I am now since I've become aware of how toxic Twitter is.
I always say that I became an ARMY to stan the artists not the fans. BTS brought me into this fandom and that is why I will stay. The only people that will cause me to leave, are the artists themselves.
Yeah I see what you guys mean but also fans also take part in an artist and why they like them. Some don't understand even if you dont give a flying crap about the fandom, a disrespectful fandom can cause doubts in the artist and what they are doing about their own fans.
Like sometimes, a fandom can get to you. And sometimes people who don't even like kpop can get to you. But yeah, that doesn't mean you should dislike the group or artist because of their fans. I thought it was dumb at first like "I came for the artist not the fans" But then you see the negativity EVERYWHERE and it's like, damn, your fans suck ass lol.

i'm on twitter too, but i control my tl, so i follow all armys who talk about music and many other things, many of them are only ARMY and don't stan other idols but some listen korean music that aren't from idols... so i did my safe space , block solo stans , toxics ppls from our and other fandoms... the thing is enjoy when you are there and do your own space and you can always be private account too.... yes there are toxic ppl , but there are toxict ppl everywhere here too , ig too... like let's remember that many kpop fans are kids not only teens and 20's, and sometimes the most toxic sadly are them the kids so i just remember that and block instead of react and firght , i come acrooss maaaaany accouts that say the most toxics things and well those were kids and teens a little % where 20+

I'm new to kpop and was really surprised to see how toxic the fandoms can get. I personally love BTS and have developed a sense of loyalty and protectiveness towards them. That said, I don't get the need to bash other groups. Save your breath, focus your energy, and show love and support for your favourite artists.

I agree with this because i was on Hwasa’s premiere for Mariá and after the video was finished, all i seen were comments on the live premiere saying: “ Blackpink could never” at that moment i was getting aggravated cause these fans were starting issues that weren’t called for. As someone apart of multiple fandoms, i could care less about the drama, i came for the music, and if your music makes me move or it gives me some type of feeling i am apart of your fandom. .

Listen, I have known bts since their debut, I remember I was in 6th grade and now am a senior in high school but although am an Army, I respect other artists and their fandoms. It's so sad fandom war exist. Can we all just love and respect each other.💜

Okay, I’ve seen a comment about this, and of course, “people” have gotten defensive and putting ARMY’s into this. I don’t know what to feel. This is 2020....it seems like this generation is getting more and more immature. And this is coming from a 15 year old. We need a change, and if we don’t get that change, then BTS, BLACKPINK, and other groups are just wasting their time for us.

I agree. I’m a fan of both, but BTS has better music. Blackpink are talented and it’s a shame they are not given better material to work with because I’m sure Jennie/Lisa can rap their ass off. Now I’m just hoping their album will be really good.

I am not a BP fan but I actually went to congratulate them after they didn't even break the record fairly just to find y'all making fun of my family. That not gonna work

I am going to be real....honest: Lengthy post warning-
I am an overall fan of Kpop In General...Periodt😁. Been Into Kpop Since Late 2011...I became a fan during the 2nd gen Hallyu Wave. It was so exciting...I am a multi fan, but I do have my top bias groups, based on me vibing, connecting with the energy of the art...and authentic quality that sets them apart or above the rest. That Is What BTS Became For Me...I was leaving Kpop when I came across them. Exo had started having problems & members left the group...tarnishing them for me.
So, EXO were going to be it and I was out...or so I thought. I saw that raw talent, hunger, passion, and humbleness, eager to learn more & how to adapt their craft & merge it with the modern, global, popular, in demand sound. I saw their potential for greatness in them instantly, felt it...plus the nostalgic Old School Hip Hop Vibe.
I admired their willingness to learn & show homage. They were something special & different from the rest, even back then...we all know their story and what they had to overcome...and how they changed the game...raised the bar...set a new standard...and they did it without big company reputations automatic fan base, marketing, promotion & exposure. It was grass roots organic...and they earned & deserve that ish, based on their hard work, passion, and resilience.
So that Is Why, I can only tolerate, champion...stan I guess...organically earned...via heart & talent (Blood, Sweat, Tears, Soul)...and not mediocrity...or dated redundancy smoke & mirrors...bought & paid, manufactured fake celebrity & popularity status based on the success & persona (act) from the original trend setters from the previous generations.
I see past the BS. I liked BP's Music, Concept, and Brand Initially (was nostalgic to 2nd gen, but still relevant in sound to be modern), but they did more modeling than group activity, performance, and productivity.
It is like, they don't have their own identity (Knock of version of Big Bang & 2ne1...Who Were Better...even back then, then BP is now), I can tell they don't have the same artistic freedoms & inputs, like their predecessors. Sorry, not sorry, they are just an ok, average group. How were fortunate to debut via a big (Big 3), well-known, popular, successful company. They are not on BTS level, They are not BTS competition. They are not even on Twice, Mammamo, & other GG's currently out...So, I have an issue, opinions & questions as to the credabilty & fairness of their fame, accolades, are fans rewarding mediocrity based on vanity, flash (Smoke & Mirrors), and company reputation.
Or do fans organically, honesty believe that there quality...product is THIS GREAT to be on the financial & innovation/influence level as a BTS....or honestly, even a TWICE's High Quality, Consistent, Smoothly Polished Talent! If so, help me understand...cuz I don't get it?
You can tell when reactors are forcing & embellishing hype vs organically intriguing interest & excitement (analyzing, connecting on different emotional & spiritual).
I have watched so many Big Reactors...doing their best duty at delivering a performance, and avoiding not to offend, upset, and/or lose subscribers, potential & steady revenue They depend on. So, I know I am not the only one confused...why are we pretending that this average, lazy, scarcely, repetitive mediocrity is so ground breaking & above the rest...IT IS SO NOT THOUGH.
Nothing Personal Against The Girls, I like them and wish them much success...but I want it to be earned, fairly...The Pure Album Sales (Can't Be Easily Manipulated...when not packaged or bundled), the demand ( sold out concerts & huge venues and events) Always Tell The Real Story. The numbers are not adding up or making much sense as to why BP is so confusingly this Big/Popular... Highly Anticipated?
I love how those individuals go on and say that the relationship between the artist and fandom is important and if the fandom is "toxic" they need to leave. My point is that if that's the case focus on the artist and YOUR own relationship to them. Stop placing your focus on the negativity, don't even be around them. Sure you may say that having friends in those groups is important too, THEN FIND DECENT FRIENDS. If you only see toxicity in your time as a fan that just means that you surround yourself with that. I personally can see some toxic fans but it is EXTREMELY MINIMAL. I don't spend my time on socials wasting it looking for negativity. So say you stopped stanning a group because of the fandom IS NOT A VALID POINT.
But it is a valid point. Fair or not, an artists fans are a reflection of them. One of the best things about kpop is making friends, the feeling of belonging to a "family" of sorts. It's fun. Having a team behind your favorite artists, supporting them. If an artist's fandom is known predominately for negativity, you can't say it's not valid for a person to not want to be apart of that. For some people it's just the music, for some it's more than that.

Also I’m quite sure that groups LIKE BTS with tons fans globally, will definitely get like a good amount of toxic fans.
