Red lights is sexy and all but if you dig through it, it’s basically a narration of someone being obsessed to someone to the point that it is already suffocating, which explains by the chain. red lights which tells us to the sign to stop before getting devoured by emotions. It also depicts that relying to someone too much could kill you. "I cannot breathe without you being right by my side".

people think codependency (you "cannot live" without ur lover) means your relationship is super passionate and all but its actually super unhealthy. i'm gonna use twilight as an example (i apologize...), when edward left for like 5 months it shows that bella had a complete mental shutdown which isn't "romantic" or healthy at all.

In a relationship, there has to be two individuals who have their own worlds, and maybe some of it intertwines, but you should never completely depend on that individual. It isn't good for them and it isn't good for you. In a relationship, I think you should teach each other to be independent and live on their own, but create a safe space where it is okay to make mistakes and always learn.

Stray Kids - Red Lights is probably the first K-Pop song that made me feel a whole new types of emotions i never knew i would ever feel. The song, the artistry in the MV, and the deep meaning behind it. Just wow.
Why is no one talking about the art that Hyuna and Dawn made. I feel like they're representing all the idols who can't show their relationships in public. That phrase of, "we should all love someone" is like a hint to that. And they weren't afraid to show what they are despite all the criticism they get back in Korea. Just incredible.

Hopefully opinions like this will become more popular there in Korea and can accept their idol relationships.
Lisa is worth around 10 Million not including endorsements, which seems really low considering how much she has raked in for YG, but as opposed to American artists, they invested quite a bit to develop her. It’s just a different business model.

12:53 red lights is actually deep bc chan and hyunjin are admittedly one of the (if not the most) perfectionists of the group. they're so attuned to details and will just keep going until they get the results they like. they introduced red lights as a song that's about that kind of obsession.

Déjà vu has brought out ATEEZ in a very different colour and the colour is called sensual. The vocals are so beautiful and the choreo executed so well. If you think of ATEEZ, you will imagine them doing hard choreo and yet singing beautifully, this just surprised me. The slower movements actually highlight how amazing their dance is. Not to forget the Rap parts of both Hongjoong and Mingi. The song is so addictive and the album breaking ATEEZ’s previous record, I know its gonna be their best of 2021.ans Yeosang? WTF man???

Red Lights uses sex as a metaphor for an obsession not necessarily to someONE but something and anything. An intense need for something that can both give pleasure or pain. Even before they wrote the first verse, Hyunjin said that he wanted it to mean something deeper than what it looks in the surface. In his and Chan’s case, it’s most likely about their work as they’re workaholics and perfectionists. Both of them struggle with the balancing their love for what they do and want to give their all to it but this song acknowledges how they are aware it can be unhealthy to give your everything to any one thing. It’s very true to the Korean title, “Compulsion/Obsession” I think this song is very vulnerable once you look past how very sexy it is, and in a way their choice of using a sexy and mature concept to portray obsession is also a wonderful metaphor. It says a lot about how tempting whatever it is you can’t get away from.
