Jeff Goldblum reminds me of that quirky, eccentric-dressing college professor that never teaches from the text, never takes attendance, spends the entire class loosely lecturing on the topic in a way that confuses but also makes sense, and then grades everyone’s papers viciously.

@@davecirlclux I think people love him because he himself is so loving! He never judges anyone and is never cross or rude but always happy and calm. If you were to insult him, he would probably go: "Oh, well, jeah, that's your oppinion..." If you radiate love you will get love back

When you're rich and famous that's what happens. Think about it, most of us do what we do because we need food, shelter, medicare. Once you have all of those things and you don't need to work or worry about money anymore you tend to want more interesting things out of life. To most of us, it's weird because we're not on that level. When you've experienced as much life as this guy has it takes a lot to keep life interesting. Poor Bill I think fell into depression but had his 2nd wind when he started doing those weird movies.
Well, i don't agree. I live in Poland where minimal wage is 350 euro a month. Even with that little amount of money you can have great time. But people tend to easy solutions, not creative. I recomend to be more accepting of your situation, and focusing on what you can get with what you have. Start something, with internet as a tool you can learn anything for free. People are unhappy because they dont know how to appreciate life. Meditation is good starting point

Goldblum's method of speaking only works for someone like Goldblum. The gaps, deliberate stutters done as affectations, etc, only work if the person listening to you finds you interesting/charismatic enough to give you the space TO talk like that. Most of us if we try to talk with too many pauses or gaps just get interrupted and steamrolled over at the first opportunity by someone else in the social dynamic/situation at that present moment, lol. It's sort of like a quiet speaker trying to talk to a bunch of people at a loud party. Jeff somehow could command a room of even loud people with just his quiet voice, even pausing and stopping since people find him so interesting/charismatic they will give him that space. Only the raw charisma of Goldblum can pull it off ;)
