I saw bts got subjected to racism and disgusting words because of one cover, and came here to check if it even warranted one comment about unstable vocals or such. And wow. This song is so close to my heart, it came out the same day I lost my grandmother and although it's been a decade, it still hits just the same, I cherish this song and is generally dismissive of any and every cover of this. But wow this. It touched me so much. All the boys are such amazing singers!! I thought some of them only rapped lol. Their vocals, the harmony, it made me feel the same way seeing coldplay perform this live did. They put their heart and soul in this and if they can do this for a cover, I wonder how their own songs sound like. The guy who ends the song gave me goosebumps, his voice is so, so rich. And the one who sits at the far right, wow. The tenor of his voice is unmatched. I especially love the one with the pink mic. His voice is so...soulful, emotional, I felt chills, it pushed me to tears. Someone please, introduce him to me!! This cover was so perfect, and since the racist idiot couldn't find one flaw in the performance he decided to throw dirt at them the only way whites know how to bring down poc. This is phenomenal, now someone please introduce the pink mic guy to me^^

Matthias Matuschik was just being a total racist as usual. He wasnt even criticizing this cover nor their music. He just couldnt stand the fact that these 7 Adisn men take over the pop music industry by storm because in his racist mind, It is only the previleage of whites to take over the pop mysic industry. This was the song of unique harmony combinations. Jin/RM, Suga/Tae, Suga/Jin. I think I have listened to every BTS song and I have never heard any of these combos before. It was wonderful.

I've been a huge Coldplay fan for 15 years. I was a bit cautious when I read there would be a cover from BTS because usually there's a level of disrespect from any musician's fandom whenever they make a cover, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of kind comments towards Coldplay from BTS fans all over the internet. The band itself did the song justice, even if it's not an easy song to cover. Overall I'm leaving with a very good impression.

That's because a lot of BTS fans, myself included, are also Coldplay's fans. I've been with them since Parachutes and I can say that one of the best days of my life was being in that stadium in Mexico City making my dream of seeing them live come true, while they were filming the A head full of dreams music video... Now watching this cover was so special to me, since Fix you has been a huge part of my life, as Coldplay and BTS too... Im just so happy ๐

Guy was triggered that a Korean boyband did MTV Unplugged and was even more triggered when they covered Fix You. He is definitely racist and felt that he can be overt with it due to the dangerous anti Asian sentiment going around. He definitely did NOT watch this performance or was curious enough to know their body of work as any genuine music journalist should. In the age of Google and KRplus, he is the stupid one for not educating himself.
Such a shame that something as beautiful as this cover was temporarily tainted by some low life's tantrums. But I know that there is a higher purpose to everything -- BTS becoming big at this point in time, breaking all stereotypes around race, masculinity, Anglo-centrism and all that. It is shining light on how there will be forces who will try to bring them down so we can go back to the way it has been -- the marginalized remaining marginalized. But we will not allow this, it's a new world, so let's just be better people and leave the unconscious bias out the door.
While I'm not (yet) an Army, I will always root for this band for the purity and good that they represent.

As a german ARMY I just feel so angry and offended not only for BTS but fellow ARMYs aswell. Not only was this man's comment racist and absolutely idiotic, but ageist and sexist aswell. He started his statement with "Sorry, dear teenagers, but...". He enforced the stereotype of female teenagers being hysteric and overly emotional, and there being no need to take their concerns seriously.
This cover is so wonderfully done and it pains me that to me it has this bitter aftertaste. In the end we should all be able to enjoy music freely, as we want.

This was a bold move for BTS! They could have sing other tracks with rap or catchy beat but instead they sang this!!! Coldplay knows that they will handle it better! And that is very timely and can clearly spread the message of the song through them. So much love and respect for this!!

I agree. In the reaction videos by vocal coaches, Jin, with his soft tone and great high notes and Jimin, with his bright distinctive soft voice, were constantly praised. Jungkook's ever reliable soft tone, V's wide range, and the rap line's great lower octave, especially RM, were commendable as well.

Check out another performance blue & grey. They have such unique vocals. Its pretty easy to identify their voice.
Hahah ofc they can sing like real โsingโ โsingโ, its just that their singles songs mostly kinda upbeat and theres so much instruments so we cannot fully enjoy their voices like in sentimental songs like this.. but they do have a lot of sentimental b-side in their albums.
My Seokjin sounds like an angel he is. cannot wait to hear his beautiful voice on his first solo album.

So I may be in the minority here but Iโve literally never listened to a BTS song is my entire life but they absolutely BODIED this cover,, their key is flawless and itโs significantly more impressive because English isnโt their first language. 10/10, immaculate cover. Their title songs are mostly pop, but their bsides include hiphop, disco, r&b, edm, ballads, soul etc etc. Theyโre not the typical bubble gum pop boyband. Exactly. There are legitimate reasons to not care for an artists/group's music, but racism is NOT one of them.
I love BTS so much, they changed my life forever! It's sad knowing that there are still people who offend them and don't take them seriously... in the last few days I read so much hateful comments, but at the same time a lot of loving comments from Army towards them. Iโm a non-army but I care about the hate theyโre getting because the comments made by the German DJ is not only racist, it is also fueling the rising cases of anti-asian violence. Very few people outside of the Asian community are speaking up about this issue, and it doesnโt help when a non-person of color compares a group of Asians to a virus.
@@potatosaladforten I mean we obviously care about the racism and hate, and we've been fighting it for years (since I'm also Asian). It is quite refreshing that a lot of people are coming together to finally defend them from the unnecessary hate and blatant racism that the DJ has tried to deny (as well as his team) by trying to gaslight us and diminishing it into a fandom issue. Racism is not an opinion and it should never be tolerated. Most of the time, it's even unprovoked. BTS only wants to make music and spread positivity, healing, and hope.
I hope you didn't misunderstand what I've initially said because since that broke out, I've been talking about it.
