This was the best part of the entire night stalker series on Netflix. When I saw a whole community of just regular people apprehend a serial killer the way they did, it was so amazing to me to see a group come together like that. They're the real heroes here
Actually, by the time the cops came in, Richie begged to be arrested. Had the cops chose to look the other way, he would have died a more gruesome death than his victims
it was so amazing. it was almost euphoric watching them apprehend him.

nobody’s talking about how he said “see you at disneyland” as if that isn’t the creepiest reply
I WAS JUST GOING TO COMMENT THAT SAME STATEMENT! That part really creeped me out. 😬
He was probably comparing Disneyland to Hell because "it's a small world after all"
There have been more creepier last words in history.
I guess all you guys are too young to remember. Ramirez misquoted an old 80's / 90s Disney commercial where they had winning athletes answer "I'm going to Disneyland!" when asked what they're gonna do after their victory. One example:
krplus.net/bidio/o76OY6F-hKm8lII
Already seen a comment about that quote.
I don’t really find these stories as bone chilling as the narrator’s voice combined with the visuals
For real.
If they did them like buzzfeed unsolved I would like these much more.
Same, if it was Ryan I'd be a lot more scared, especially if it was without Shane. Really interesting story though, so I don't mind

I really hope James has gone to therapy. I know he's safe and his bravery led to Ramirez's arrest, so he's safe now. But that's still a really traumatic thing to experience. :/
yea, it’s really shameful how some of richard’s fans are saying that they ‘don’t like him’ just because he had the courage and bravery to go out his way and write down his license plate. if it makes u feel better he has a family of his own now!
Okay but I love the energy of the neighborhood that attacked him 😂

I had Psychology teacher in college one of my professors told us a story about her father who was at a party one night and one of the best friends brought a date to the party and all night the date really wanted to be alone with her but she felt really uncomfortable and so somehow she ended up climbing out a window and dipped and when the date realized she left, he was upset and left upset. A couple days later they found out the guy moved to California from El Paso and on the news one night his picture popped up and they realized he was Richard Ramirez and found out what he had done and how that could have happened to the friend
Your psychology teacher is a liar. I see these stories everywhere
I never ever know if these stories are real only because everyone says they saw him etc
How weird! Rarely do serial killers kill people they know. They attack strangers but there are always exceptions.
Mmhmm
Richard was kind to his girlfriends/dates.
I've often wondered what goes wrong in a persons brain to make them do these kind of things, just so sad......
witnessing a murder would be a start
I can't say for sure as it's never happened to me
but I imagine that would f*%k you up
in his case he had a terrible home life and even worse influences. as the video mentioned he saw his aunt get killed but also saw his uncle do almost no time for it (learning bad things doesn’t equal bad consequences), he had someone show him pow photos they took when deployed and taught him to match sex and violence together, he was taught how to look into peoples houses and one of the adults in his life did this too. he was literally trained to do these things, he truly didn’t stand a chance at having a healthy, normal life
Its simple, control. You have control of not only your life, but everyones life you choose to. His past is the main reason why he pursued control, he had no control over his childhood or even teen years.
take a look inside the pyramid head, the misunderstood monster walking around with a murderous mind. no hope, its all crushed long time ago. watch your words.

There are so many cases of the bystander effect that makes me so so frustrated but hearing how the father and his sons put their lives at risk to catch him and how the neighborhood came together to make sure he didn’t get away really warms my heart and makes me proud. Also that 13 year old, wow, I don’t think I would be that brave now, let alone at 13. His bravery saved so many lives. Kudos to all those involved in bringing him down, it goes to show for every monster out there, there will always a lot of good people who will stand against it.

I know eh. Like , how can we give him more confidence to do these horrible things. Give him a badass nickname. Smart .
well, it was literally what he did. he stalked at night.
that’s what i was thinking. wouldn’t it motivate these killers to continue if they’re infamous like that??
I know it might seem strange but there is a good reason why they do this. Often times its a member of the public that will see something and come forward with vital information. When you give someone a name like "the night stalker" its something that will grab your attention and make you more aware of whats going on around you. It makes people more interested in the case and if you get more people interested, there is a much greater chance that someone will see something.
