My anxiety: you never know..
My intelligence: maybe I should watch it
Yeah since ww3 is starting soon
@Mr Hello same
Oh my gosh this is exaclty what i thought
My school was shot a long time ago and they've been paranoid since because we cant use lockers,they have Cameras everywhere and our police officer sits in an open space while we have to go to a section of the school to go to our classes. Its like a square were half of it is shaded.
My dad was a pre-teen when the Nazis rolled over his country. As an adult he always checked out the exits and knew his escape plan in a public place...he was very nervous to sit in the center of a large auditorium and avoided it if at all possible.
I wonder what pissed those guys off so much?
@@benedictcumberbatch4275after WW1, Germany was in serious financial problems and inflation. Hitler used this to get into power by using the Jews as a scapegoat and blaming them for Germany’s financial issues. The people of Germany were so desperate for a solution, they listened to hitler. As for Hitler himself, he was taught anti-Semitic ideology from when he was young, plus he had many other things that probably affected his personality and morality (drugs, his dads brutal punishments, plus was probably a psycho from the start).
Actually, this makes sense. We all need to be aware of our surroundings at all times.
"Trust your eyes, question your ears." I watched another video here on YT where a lot of people in a mass shooting lost their lives or were injured because they ran in the opposite direction of where the sound was coming from. They thus ran right into the shooter's path.
So If I hear a gunshot to my left in a school, do I go to the right? Or something like that?
@@Mmhmpeanutbutter only if you're near a corner/turn. corners/turns are what make it sound like it's coming from the wrong direction

Haha love it, however, there is something to it. If you've been around fireworks the smell is more intense the closer you are to them. It would be a more reliable sense than your hearing in that situation.
Gunpowder smell you ever shot a weapon? Also you'll find casings on the ground. Touch them see if theyre hot. If its hot you know he is near by.

Thank you for the guidance. It’s sad this sort of video needs to exist.
I have a friend who has a mental disorder that causes paranoia and anxiety. We’d go out to eat and she’d suddenly say “someone could come in here and start shooting at us.” We would all tell her ‘no, we’re safe. That won’t happen.’ That was several years ago. Now it feels like she has a point and you can’t argue it.
@Zoot Rollo Good thought. 👍🏼

Survival is primitive, morals are out the window in survival. Bite, tear at the eyes, break, dislocate, tear off the trigger finger, punch and elbow them at the throat, groin, and a good blunt strike to the gut/ liver area is also a good idea. Kick, spit, scream and throw your weight around. Everything is a weapon. Expo marker? Snap it and use it as a sharp object, Cell phone? hunk of metal useful for gripping and smashing with the corner of the phone on places it will hurt. Fire extinguisher? They are extremely heavy and you can grab and swing like a bat. No mercy, no sympathy, grab his weapon, if you are familiar with it go ahead and shoot the perp if they are still a threat. You are protecting your teachers friends and yourself, you can’t afford to hesitate
Woop woop nice rant😊😊😅🗿

You can often smell the carbon monoxide from the bullets being shot so it would help
A fired gun does give off a telling smell. Can't trust your ears, can't see the gunman? Maybe your nose provides the answer
🤣🤣🤣
This has been the best example of a "Survival" video I've come across. It's well thought out, worded clearly, a reasonable amount of time to keep the viewer's attention, and appropriate for most age groups. Well done and thank you!

I feel so so sad for those youngsters today who have to think about this stuff at school. Wishing everyone peace and safety. 💜
Many of us had to learn survival skills as children. There may not even be a single generation that did not need to learn some type of self protection as children. In modern history, we learned what to do if there was an air raid or a nuclear explosion. It's certainly tragic, but it's not really unique to kids today.
I'm terrified to go back to school.

@@bleujay8785 But are you really prepared? There's plenty of research to suggest that those measures just cause more stress and fatigue for teachers and students. When it comes to people dying in school shootings, the associated percentage of the US population is so low that it shows up on a calculator in scientific notation.
@@grantgillum8768 I don’t think you can ever truly be prepared for something like that. As I’ve said, I do believe what we have in place now will prove to be inefficient. Now as a mother and educator I do think there should to be some type of action plan in place. I understand the chance of this happening is extremely slim, but personally I’d rather have an idea of what to do to protect my kids, instead of trying to “wing it”. I have friends and family that lost loved ones in the Columbine shooting. I remember the devastation our community felt. So perhaps my feelings are based a bit on bias, but for someone like me It doesn’t matter how slim the possibility, there is still a possibility. I want to make sure I do everything I can to keep my kiddos safe.
I would think children huddling would be a comfort quieting agent to reduce fear in the kids...I regard that as the correct move...I also strongly feel each classroom should have a closet attached that children can be put in with an automatic closing lock with steel doors...like pilots have on airplanes!!...
