I live an hour north of Mansfield and have still never toured it. I'm intrigued but even if ghosts aren't real it's so unsettling...
Fun fact my grandfather went to prison in the reformatory in 85 before it closed down. He told me that when he went to sleep he could hear screaming and falling and when he looked out of his cell there was nothing there.

Broooooo, this place is CRAZY HAUNTED! I’ve been there (cuz I lived in Ohio for a while) and I stayed for about 3 hours, and it was sooo spooky! I heard what sounded like murmurs, and i heard a ton of weird sounds. 10/10, should be something you see if you ever go to Ohio

I was just in the reformatory for an author event, I felt a strange presence the moment I stepped into the building. There were a bunch of strange occurrences while I was there, phones stopped working, tapping was heard frequently, at one point while I was starting to leave I took a picture of the east cell block and I thought I seen eyes in a cell on the bottom row.
dude i've been there!! it's also still very scary in the daytime, the peeling paint, rotting plaster, and rows of cells that seem like they're all about to collapse still remains just as eerie in the sunlight.

Honestly, I’m from Columbus and have walked around the Mansfield Reformatory many times in broad daylight, and at night when they do the Haunted Prison at Halloween, and it’s always creepy af. I don’t think I’d do it alone at night like this. The prison is so creepy and eerie. I’ve walked around alone during the daytime and you can tell something just ain’t right in there. I wouldn’t even go into the solitary area bc it gave me the heebie jeebies. No thanks.

Honestly, I’m from Columbus and have walked around the Mansfield Reformatory many times in broad daylight, and at night when they do the Haunted Prison at Halloween, and it’s always creepy af. I don’t think I’d do it alone at night like this. The prison is so creepy and eerie. I’ve walked around alone during the daytime and you can tell something just ain’t right in there. I wouldn’t even go into the solitary area bc it gave me the heebie jeebies. No thanks.
The voice in the chapel clearly said “I hope” in response. This makes more sense if the place is haunted by prisoners.

When I visited here, I smelled roses, heard someone ask if I was okay after I coughed, someone breathe in my ear and felt I was being watched and got a bad headache when passing the cells at the bottom and great sadness in the hospital part :( in the chapel there were white feathers everywhere it was surreal
