Mason Allott next week on buzzfeed unsolved: is Matt actually Freddy Mercury and is he immortal?

This describes him perfectly!

Exactly. I'm just like "Go on".
Conspiracy theories, though they interest me, make my eyes water and make it look like I'm crying(lol I'm really not tho) so it's more like 😢
The sexiest thing about Matt is that he’s the most invested conspiracy theorist on the Unsolved Network and also the most reasonable one who knows when theories are stereotypically harmful and also blatant lies. He talks about these ideas responsibly. Love that.
He sounds like he doesn't believe a word of it lol

I was born in 1960 and raised on Long Island and am familiar with Camp Hero .and the Montauk experiments. All I'm saying is there was ,some freaky scary stuff going on back in the late 70's and through the 80's. Very disturbing and unsettling things happening, things happening that were never reported, strange buildings, with hidden rooms, that were occupied with questionable people. Montauk has a very strange energy. I've been to that lighthouse at 3:00 in the morning s few times and there was some spooky weird experiences. I wouldn't go there today at 3:00 am - not sure if you even could anymore - even if you wanted to. It was a cool and weird place to be born and raised. A bizarre place to adventure in and explore. So much hidden and stuff covered up. it has an energy that seems intelligent and provoking, alluring. Hard to explain. Plenty of worm holes on the Internet to lose yourself researching.
y’all it’s called a season for a reason when the boys say the season finale they mean they’re done for awhile it’s literally how it’s always been they need breaks to relax and film more locations
T Wes None of your business, they just finished the last season.
Hope there's more ruining history sooner or later.

I think I would need to watch this 10 times to get 50% of it
Oh so I'm not the only one.
Y’all please stop asking about Shane and Ryan while Matt and everyone else are working really hard to put out content for you. The ghoul boys will announce when they’re coming back. Just chill out for a while, geez.
philena24601 thank you so much for saying this-
Right. I get those two are very popular but enjoy the work others are putting out for you. It's like Donnie Wahlberg when ever people meet him they probably ask him about Mark and he's probably like "Uh... I'm famous too you know...".
PERIOD. this is it. this is the only important comment. let's not discredit anyone's work just because it's not shane or ryan. it's one thing to not like the content and leave it at that and one thing to announce it to the whole world.

Conspiracy theory:
What if Matt Geoening (creator of the Simpsons) was in the Time bending experiments in 1977? He would’ve been 23 by then, and he could’ve been helping out with the experiment and possible travel to the future. Then when he discovered his love for cartooning he decided to put all his findings in the future into the show. Because no one else knew what the future was like they wouldn’t pay close attention to it.
Idk if this makes sense but yeah... that’s my theory

The "Dude wheres my car" reference unlocked memories I forgot I had lol.
God i love watching people rant about conspiracy theories that they're passionate about
I’m from Long Island, and I too have always heard some strange stories about Camp Hero and the Montauk Project. Locals often refer to that place as “the dish” because it has a gigantic satellite dish sitting there. What I’ve always been told is that during the Cold War, the military base was exploring mind control by putting out some sort of radio frequency via the satellite that was intended to control the minds of the locals in the area. They were experimenting on the locals to see if it could work on the Russians. Spooky stuff.
The boys should do a episode about the lost cosmonauts of the USSR!
100% agree
I’ve been out to Montauk Point. I’ve seen the “under ground” bunkers and the old radar disk. It’s very similar to most post world war sites I’ve visited around the country. Especially the coastal bases. In my opinion, the only project going on in Montauk is the “Tourist Trap Project”.
david asher I appreciate this post In the sea of “where’s Ryan and Shane?” And the “Matt is so hot” posts. 😂
David, 100% true. It's more interesting to go down the road a mile to see the lighthouse.
I really like these new videos with Matt; he’s a lot of fun. Keep it up!

You should cover some of the conspiracies in the book 'THEM' , can't remember the author off the top of my head but it's the same guy that wrote 'Frank'. Lots of very questionable happenings, really liked this little deep dive into the bizarre, hope you do more.
Edit. The author is Jon Ronson, THEM: adventures with activists and extremists
The Eldridge did indeed become invisible to the naked eye, because it was painted Haze Gray. The ship was visible to observers at close range, but when it got far enough away, atmospheric haze caused the ship to appear the same colour as the sky, and it vanished from sight.
Sounds more like “dark” on netflix than stranger things
Right?!!? Love that show too
Dark is amazing!
This is exactly where my brain went too
I thought of that.
Who is the beautiful stranger with a full moustache? I'm not usually a moustache lover but now I see what Linda sees in Bob!
Best comment!!!
I’ve always wished there was a machine that could transform the images in my mind to a screen, like when you’re describing a trippy dream but you can’t exactly explain just how trippy it was. Apparently it’s a thing. Allegedly.
“And no I’m not talking about queer eye” ... okay... I like this one he can stay
I live on Long Island near Camp Hero. It’s cool to learn more about Long Island’s history
Matt: I’m very interested to know what you guys think.

I love Matt so much, he has the energy that is a perfect combination of hot and chaotic
I mean if you think about it, it makes sense. The Military, specifically the American Military has always had a desire to rule and colonize the world. It's the very reason they did the MK-Ultra Experiment. Like mind control, time travel would be an incredibly useful resource for the Military to have because at any point, within reason because there is probably some restrictions on time travel, they could hop into the future or the past and get rid of any enemy of theirs.
Shout out to whoever drew that amazing map on the board.
This is Dr. Robotnik before he went looking for sonic
Hey Matt, i thought the Dude, where's my car reference was pretty funny so don't worry
I totally got it and thought he did the voice perfectly. Made me laugh.
Did he just call stranger things a comedy musical🤣

Guys stop asking for Shane and Ryan, it's not just their channel, it has to do with things spooky not just them, and besides if there not here, they are probably working on a big project for this channel
I said to my gf “hey Matt Real posted another one of those unsolved mystery buzzfeed things.” And she said “is he ever gonna solve any of them?”
“histories’ mysteries” is now my favorite phrase
Even though this is just storytelling that really doesn't amount to anything, I still really enjoyed this! Thanks! 😃
Living for his vibes
he looks like the teacher from stranger things
Shane and Ryan’s backs are probably tired from all the carrying they’ve been doing.
ah yes, the sci-fi, comedy, musical- Stranger Things
I don't doubt that at some point some people high up in the military and scientific fields conducted tests like these but I highly doubt that they worked.
Give this man a conspiracy theory series!
Edit: oh, it's already a series! 😂
"And I'm not talking about Queer Eye" ... golden.
Love Matt’s episodes. He’s the pure chaotic fired-for-teaching-conspiracy-theories-in-class ex professor energy i need in my life.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were the science teacher😂
These videos are fun! And this guy is funny. You children need to relax and be *nice*!

I have read a few books on the Philadelphia Experiment and it's crazy. Look into it.
Lots of crazy stuff, like Project Looking Glass
“a crazy man explains..”
me telling anyone around me about a weird dream
this reminds me more of the show dark on netflix with there being anchor points in time and time travel
Your thought process has gotta be chaotic. I love it

I too love this guy called Matt. I just enjoy this whole spin off. Keep em coming!
i love board time, and the little figurines lol
this was a great video!
also i like how left handed he is
yeah i know it’s not a thing but it really is
good job guys
I think this should be a regular show. I love the compare and contrast between solid evidence and complete bs way better than Mysteries Decoded. And Matt is great - articulate and very entertaining. Yo, Buzzfeed! Make this a show.
Lorraine Williams I will sign this petition
As somebody who had been to camp Hero a few times, it is a truly eerie place
Unfun fact about the Tuskeegee experiments - they only stopped because they were outed.
Mr. Clark!!!! Lol this is perfection!!
This feels like a mix of Dark and Stranger Things
Id love to see you explore the tv show "the 100" it gets very complicated at season 6 and it talks about a whole bunch of stuff like wormholes, invisibility, immorality, space&time travel....
It's just a LOT to understand all of a sudden
This doesn’t sound anything like Stranger Things except there’s a monster. It actually sounds more like the Netflix show, DARK, including the entrance(s) to the facilities, and general military base locations, time travel, and memories.
Yes! More of this, please!
i was born on Montauk Avenue, in New London, Connecticut in 1971. It is about 24 miles almost directly across the water from Montauk, NY. My life has been like an episode of stranger things since 2022. I just learned about Camp Hero and the Montauk project recently. My dad got out of the Air Force in 1965 and had been stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. He guarded minute man missiles. About two years after he got out of the Airforce was the famous Malmstrom ufo event.
The books seems to almost have the same set up as "Gulliver's travels." "Gulliver's travels" is supposed to look like a sailing journal which were commonly published at the time and starts with pretty plausible events and gets slowly wilder and wilder till he gets stuck on an island with talking horses and wild humans. Like the whole novel that exposes some horrible things the government did or some company did is really common and the events in this book start out mildly plausible and then go to the point of being completely unplauasible. I'm not sure how the author(s) act about this, if they act like it's real or if it's a pen name and they haven't been heard from sense but just from this video it sounds like this book is an interesting work of fiction.
It was a right of passage to break into the big ole radar tower when I was in high school! Most of the stairs had decayed but we would use ply wood and all sorts of crazy things to get our way up to the roof, crawl up the terrifying metal ladder out of a hatch onto the roof!
I must say the view at the top of the radar tower is unbeatable! Best view of the montauk bluffs!! And the things we all saw inside of the buildings were crazy! They had all types of metal chairs with weird attachments that looked like they would have been on someone’s head. They used LSD to get information from captured spies and would put them in rooms designed to induce a terrifying trip to get information needed. I got a chance to see some of these rooms and they were crazy!
Also the underground tunnels 100% do exist! If you take a walk around the park you will find many cemented in tunnel entrances.
Even if all of this is totally bogus, it made my childhood so exciting!!
Yes! Thanks for covering the conspiracy theory around the Montauk Project! I read about it in a book my grandfather had waaaay back in the 1990s, but could never find much about it. Neat! (No, I don’t believe it, but still thought-provoking.)
Yes, more of this please
This was rlly cool to watch!
You had me at goopy alien dogs
I think it's fascinating, truth or fiction. Plus your mustache is super neat-o 👌
all i have to say is
I'm in love with this man.
I love this video because I know that everything he is saying, all the research done on these events, is 100% true and factual! Keep up the awesome work; I love this series.
ChrisWCorp wait but why is it factual? I’m not being a cheeky internet troll. I’m genuinely interested and believe. But I need more info 😂
He gives me some Mad Scientist Bill Nye vibes, and I’m so here for it.
I never understood how one could believe that the technology used to make a boat invisible to radar could just happen to be the right technology to make it disappear to the naked eye. The "Philadelphia experiment" is contradicted by the testimony of people who were on the ship on said date (I know, MIB silenced them lol). That being said, Montauk does look like a weird place lol
Mr Clarke+Freddie Mercury=this guy ⬆️
I’m gonna need more stuff like this 💕 loveee this!
