Idk why the way she describes bao and bing is pissing me off. I mean I do have to say when i was little I used to think bao had an English name but they are DUMPLINGS not whatever she was saying. Bing is kind of harder to describe but I’d say they are kind of scuffed pancakes or a type of flatbread.
Edit: let’s work on pronunciations. Bao is pronounced pretty similarly to how it’s spelled in English (the tone is hard to describe) bao is almost always used with the character for zi, and would be spelled baozi in pinyin (the zi kinda sounds like a z sound “zuh”)
Bing sounds like it’s being pronounced with a e sound in it kinda like being but strung together (bee-un) is the best u can get. It can be added to other words. Binggan means cookie, bobing means a thin biscuit, etc.
