They receive R&D money despite being one of the most profitable corporations in the energy sector. Furthermore Exxon Mobil actually did contribute money to Trump's campaign (along with Clinton, Cruz, and Rubio), so something tells me they may have tried to buy a bit of favoritism from the next president. With their former CEO as Secretary of State it's quite possible that foreign oil deals become a bit easier for them, much in way weapons deals became easier for Saudi Arabia after they contributed to Clinton's foundation while she was Secretary of State.

It wasn’t as big as you think. I was there because I was working the inauguration as a soldier. I also did President Obama’s second inauguration and it was by far a more packed event. There wasn’t an empty space in the entire national mall for Obama. I was able to walk in and out of crowds for Trumps due to the empty spaces.

i sincerely believe he'll be able to do what he's promised. generally speaking, a person who's very good at something in one area will usually be able to excel in unrelated fields. my theory is that there are certain people, who i described above, who are just naturally successful and achieve great things easily. trump, being an incredibly successful real estate developer and co-creator/star of a reality tv show that was enormously popular, is one of those people who are just naturally good at things. this election is a perfect example of that- he had zero political experience, ran his campaign in incredibly controversial and chaotic ways, and was running against one of the most famous and seasoned political figures in the country, hillary clinton, who had enormous help from cronies in the government and elite corporate lobbyists and the establishment as a whole. yet, he won with a very comfortable margin. the man is clearly good at anything he tries, and believe me, he's gonna do what he promised.
He knows that the American people have had it with the establishment. If he breaks his promises he's signing his death warrant. The time is ripe either for a man like Reagan or a 2nd american revolution
