Do you ever think frank iero ever thinks about how mostly only young adult girls and teenager girls listen to his music. And how he is literally surrounded by them when he’s on stage. I feel like it’s the funniest shit ever 😂
Its so weird honestly, because he and his music is pretty punk (i mean the music is more on the heavy garage punk side then any the type of punk rock/pop punk/emo alt sound mcr had) Its funny to see so many teen/young adults (a lot female) go to his gigs (and i assume listen to the music, or i'd atleast hope so). I guess his personality and opinions really were strong enough to keep and build this audience, which i respect, hes a great guy no doubt- and perfect to represent the 'new' punk scene.
I mean im a guy and ive been to a few of his gigs, which is always a laugh because its such a dive bar punk experience yet the women outway the men, its kindve bizzare from what im used too (like in any other punk gig its normally mostly a audience of dads), not complaining though ;) All sorts of interesting people to talk too

Sometimes i think that must be weird, but then again, no one would care if it were boys. Frank has earned a ton of money from this very dedicated fanbase so imagine he’s happy with them
@@gonk9204 tbh I've missed a few shows when I was a teen because I'd only see these "dads" dudes around and I'd feel out of place and leave. I think it's great nowadays you're more likely to also see young women on concerts, don't gotta feel like I did anymore.
@@SilentProti Honestly, it might be becuase i was lucky enough to be going to gigs from my early teens (mostly because i spent all my money on tickets to everything, still do) but i'm not phased by the older audiences at all (i mean i went to a sum41 gig and literally everyone there was atleast above 30), i get that a lot of people might find it a bit imposing or threatening at first but honestly i've never had any trouble with the 'dad' crowds at all, its unfortunate you felt out of place though, but i do get that.
Yeah, for sure its great to see all kinds of people at most gigs now, really feels like a more diverse crowd which is always better. Its especially noticable in college cities with newer punk/alt/rock bands, they really seem to draw in a younger and way more balanced crowd, and then theres people like Frank or even bands like IDKHOW or waterparks that are known for actually having more gals then guys and a generally calmer atnosphere, which is really comforting for some younger people who are new to gigs, becuase i get how daunting it must be for some if you turn up and theres just thousands of older dudes, even if for some reason i never recall having that anxiety myself.

okay, so i'm gonna offer context because i was actually at that show lmao (4/29/17)
the guy frank is talking to kept showing him the same picture of death grips during the ENTIRE SHOW. and i stood next to him and his gf in the line beforehand and they were high as hell on lsd. they also made out with each other the entire time.
