I FOUND OUT ABOUT MINE YESTERDAY AND I HAVE IT IN TWO HOURS. HAVE BEEN WATCHING ALL UR VIDS. shitting it, I’ve had two jobs before from word of mouth but never a proper interview. So scared!

I have some questions:
1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate).
2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role
3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies
4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years*
*Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*
@@jahualhaq9853 Hey, I'm no expert, but I've got a thought on why you might be having a tough time landing a job after six years of being out of the game. Companies tend to frown upon long gaps, and even a few months of gap can put you behind other candidates. My two cents: come up with the best excuse known to mankind for that extended break when you're in interviews and be able to say exactly what you were doing or working on pretty much every month of every year that you had a gap. I’m using this video as a refresher because I still consider myself a novice. However this man is right about several things. You HAVE to sell yourself up. Being confident and well spoken goes a very long way in interviews.
I worked as a housekeeper in 2021 but decided I wanted more than that role. I went to a temp agency and landed a job as an admin assistant at a property management company. I worked hard at that property, where I was initially only supposed to be an admin assistant. I ended up working in the maintenance office as a suite coordinator. The corporate office was so impressed they offered me an interview as an accounting administrator, and I nailed the interview. I had no experience other than working with their company, however I sold myself the best I could with the experienced I gain with them
So I went from working in housekeeping to being an accounting administrator within 2 months.

Very detailed and high quality answers. I stumbled on this guy's page and I kid you not after STUDYING AND MASTERING 1 or 2 of his videos, I PwC and KPMG offered me an internship that same summer. Thank you Richard, a week back I senselessly agreed speak with the interview the day after I applied. I made a whole prep sheet that evening and watched this video. After the first question "tell me about yourself" and the S.E.A.T response they were so impressed I was hired on the spot. They had a few follow up questions but it was already clear I was getting the job. Thank you!

I really appreciate your videos about interview preparation. I will be having a one way interview tomorrow with a big school. Honestly, I’m nervous because I’ve never done a one way interview before and would preferred to have either zoom or face to face interviews. EDIT: i got the job! I thought i was speaking to a hiring manager i was speaking with their COO vice president!
