I bought this record for my wife, when it came out a couple of years ago. This one was my favorite on that album, and I was blown away, by how well their vocals harmonized for this piece. The track remains my favorite on “My Gift”, and it’s sure to be a staple in our house every Christmas. Thank you John and Carrie, for this beautiful duet. 🤗

Carrie Underwood is probably the person who has helped me through a lot, I went to her cry pretty tour concert last year, it was my first concert and my moms last one, she died this year from cancer and love Carrie Underwood I loved seeing her sing along to Carries songs and be happy and never talk about herself and always sung Carrie Underwood like everything was amazing! She was the best person in my life! I miss you and love you mom! She’s not in her temporary home anymore
I know what you mean about temporary home my grandpa passed away last month. And when I sing that song the last part chokes me up I can’t sing because it’s about an old man about to die and I think about my grandpa when I sing that part. I miss my grandpa so much I wish that he was still here.

I am so sorry! I know what you mean. My dad’s best friend passed away last from pancreatic cancer. One day my dad said, “I will never get a call from him again. He was the only person who called me on my birthday, anniversary, and holidays. I guess that won’t happen anymore.” That just broke my heart. I told him if he wanted I could call him on his birthday, anniversary, and holidays even though we live in the same house. All he could do was laugh and smile. His friend touched the lives of many. I know how it feels to lose someone you really love.

This has been one hell of a year. I lost my dad in May, I had a baby a week ago today. I have so many emotions hearing this song, it makes me cry every time. Their voices are so beautiful together.

Listening (again) to this gorgeous piece of music in 2023. Crying buckets (again). So much has happened since I first heard this song and became so emotionally and viscerally attached to it. And even though the course of my life has completely changed and I'm unsure how long I'll be able to stretch my time here, or fight being robbed of those memories I cherish SO much, THIS SONG helps keep me grounded with windows wide open to the past showing me my personal memory movies EXACTLY as they happened. Being able to see my favorite people and relive the times I loved most is worth more than anything in the world to me. No medicine can do better, no money is more satisfying.

With all the negativity that was conveyed after this song was released, this is my first time hearing this song. And all I have to say is that this is pure magic. Goosebumps for days. Truly an epic collaboration. The people with such negative comments are just pure evil and have nothing else to do but be hurtful. Take it to church Carrie and John. As I was listening to this song, my home roku camera caught an orb of some sort of spirit or angel. I put this on in y bedroom and the living room camera caught the orb. I had caught orbs here and there and one night recently, prayed out loud and held the Bible and read a few scriptures, there was tons of orb activity recorded. It was amazing, as well as this tonight. Needless to say, I will be saving that recording and sending it to my sister!
