I cant recall another Christmas song that goes from a more introspective point of view and then to a more outwardly one so beautifully.

The way she’s singing reminds me of how she sounded when “Jesus take the wheel” first came out! Not a bad thing at all but her vocals have gotten so much better over time! She’s evolved so much in that aspect and I absolutely love it
Oh my gosh I agree so much with you. I saw her singing right after she won on her first summer tour when she was still wearing cut-offs, a t-shirt, and Boots and did not talk too much. She seems a little shy onstage at the San Diego County Fair. I was going through a very rough time in life and so related to Jesus Take the Wheel. I surely wasn't doing a very job taking the wheel myself during that time and that song and Carrie gave me so much hope. I must have listened to it a thousand times at least. And I have a feeling I'm going to be listening to them sing this song at least that. I've already forwarded it to so many friends and family. To me it is far so much Beauty and Hope and helps me remember what's important. And I pray especially for John Legend right now is he and his wife just lost their newborn baby. I can't believe it but I heard they're having a Christmas special and I am so excited. Thank you all for making such a beautiful song. God bless us all ♥️
