Carwow, Carfection, Top Gear(only the parts with Chris Harris) and TheStraightPipes (more for entertainment) are pretty decent imho.
True, but he seems rather biased at times... which is something I dislike in a motoring journalist. The thing is that technology in the car industry constantly moves forward and then you have people like Jeremy Clarkson with his constant idiotic jabs at electric vehicles or hybrids who have a problem keeping up with the times. I think he looks like a complete fool in hindsight. And this will probably get worse as time moves on and more and more awesome hybrids and EVs hit the market.
Matt's bias towards Diesel engines is similarly annoying.
The Diesel engine's dead. Has been for years. Laws and regulations will soon make it illegal to produce them and shortly after it will be illegal to drive them. So advising people to buy a Diesel at this point in time is quite frankly shocking to me.
After the death of the Diesel we will see the death of the regular petrol engines and then all that remains are hybrids and EVs.
Which is a good thing, I think.
Not just for environmental reasons but also because EVs already drive better than most combustion engine cars and will get even better in the future. As soon as we have cheap light weight batteries no one will wanna buy a combustion car anyway.

I had a 2016 C200, and it was near flawless, surprisingly fun to drive too, especially in the wet when the tail will step out.

It's because the old people want halogens probably. Who buy these the most. They want as little amount of accessories as possible. Especially here in Finland. They buy a Mercedes Benz and pay nothing for accessories.
Manakuski you don’t necessarily need to buy any extras for a Mercedes. It’s already a fully equipped high performance vehicle.
Manakuski no one wants halogen. A lot of people won’t pay thousands for lights either. If you pay for options, you will just be throwing even more money down the drain, if you get new cars often you would need to sacrifice things and never get any options or you are just spending £2000 for let’s say Full LED lights which the second owners will get for free
I do have at the moment c class 2020 as a replacement car with massive options list , but the biggest suprise for me was the super bright lights at night and as you mentioned easy gear changing selector .

i really love the facelift c class. took a c63 and c43 for drive at my dealer. the 43 is very balanced suitable for an average driver while c63 is a raging bull which will kill you if you are not an experienced driver, its more fun though. that v8 rumble even at 50 percent throttle is breathtaking.
only a really shit driver gets killed by the car he drives
i remember back when the C class used to be the relatively affordable and intro Merc. now it costs more than a 5 series a few years ago

On the Mazda when Matt had to fold down the seats manually he made a big deal of how annoying it was but on the Merc he casually does it and mentioned how much space you get. Also, he doesn't mention the lack of spare wheel which is usually a talking point.
The Mercedes is a sedan so it is fine

Hi just wanted to say thank you for this great video. I got delivery of a C220d in same colour loved your video and was delighted to note that I have the pull down levers in the booth. I am so delighted that I can take my road bike in my car because I absolutely love riding my bike even more than the new car! And I get hay fever so great to know it's pollen filtered too.

C class is a 2014 car the a class is from 2019 . The new model c class will have everything as they A class and more

@@Horizon301. the S has a lot that the A doesn't. Magic Body Control for instance. Not to mention things like heated armrests, a fragrance atomiser and ventilated massage seats. It's also much better built inside. The A feels a bit cheap

I really like this car. I like the new 3 series, but for me, this seems better value in terms of what you get with it. I prefer the interior lighting on this compared to the 3 series, it's more subtle and I like how the lights just spray out (so to speak) than just one single line of lighting which looks more bolder. I guess this is all to do with preference. I do think though, this is better value in terms of what you get, the interior seems really good like you say, and the quality is nice on the outside too.
The 3 series is much better. I have driven both. It's not only faster and doesn't have the tacked on ipad screen...The BMW is also more comfortable. The seats are better too...The E class is another story. I have never driven a 5 series, but i really liked the E class compared to the C. Its amazing how much better the drive in the E is...Lightyear difference imo

I have had a C300 2019 model for a year now and I have a red interior leather with the grainy black grey pattern instead of just plain black . It is also the AMG line package. It is quiet powerful like the 330i sports … looks great with beautiful exterior design and the interior is high quality .. love this car .. hope I can upgrade in few years to the CLA 45 AMG S
when the new A6 plug in hybrid is release please make a review, most of in London are looking to avoid petrol/diesel

Hi Matt, thank you for this review. You speak from 13:35 and on about the average comfort of this car. This is the second review online i find for the face lifted C Class which talks about the average suspension. To be honest i drove this car myself for 3 days (standard suspension, no AMG) and found it myself also quite bouncy for a Merc which surprised me. Since i saw such comments missing not only from your original review when this c class debuted 6 years, where not only you but also other KRplus reviewers mentioned a comfortable ride, my question is following: did they mess up something with the suspension in the facelift? I'd appreciate your feedback as i am looking this car for my dad and was planning to buy it soon. Unfortunately it has to be a Merc but the E-Class is too expensive.

hoen2009 I just expressed my opinion. I think Mercedes makes ugly retarded cars with bug eyes. BMW isn’t perfect either with those big grilles, but atleast it looks decent.

Because it knows that the air in tunnel is not good because of the other cars exhaust so it closes the windows and start the air filtration system that fyi is extremely good

Small mistake at 1:40 the airintake is not fake but helps the airflow go through the bumper sideways to the wheels. Something with aerodynamics...
@carwow I know it‘s an older Video, but Matt made a mistake at 1:32min, when he talked about „fake vents“. Those areas are on the AMG Line and the C43 and they are supposed to help reduce drag, by making the surplus air move through the vents on the side. The air comes out right in front of the front wheels. Thus, the surplus air passes around the car. If I’m not mistaken, it is called Air Curtain. I thought I‘d mention it, since nobody else did.
I love how mat can say ‘Mercedes’ without being interrupted by Mercedes in this car, what a great feature!

It's a lovely small-to-mild size car. The 63S version is so much fun too, light, nimble round corners, RWD and practical all in one. Love it 👍

H H I disagree having driven it on track. Sure the completion are lighter, but the C63 is better than people give it credit for.

H H compared to M3, but in the AMG line up it’s the one to go for (with the exception of the GTR). Smaller, lighter and more nimble than E class and above + RWD is truly the best for performance driving.

Didn't it cost 10-15k?
It only cost £900 on c class. Not sure on other models. It also raises and lowers the suspension depending what drive mode you chose e.g. comfort, sport etc.

We get that impression simply because he is constantly comparing it to the 3 series and A4(which are already class leading).Not to mention that the c-class is starting to get dated,so it's quite obvious that it is not going to fare very well and we can "sorta" say that he isn't the biggest fan of merc either
