if there is an switch without any clear function in a room, it may be that it controls a electrical outlet somehwhere in the room(or a nearby closet/hall/small room). You might be able to go around the room and plug a small electronic (that is easy to tell when its recieving power), plug it into each outlet, test the switch, and see if any of them turn on/off when the switch is flipped. These types of switch controlled outlets seemed to be used for things like lamps as far as I know.

As someone who has very few packs, one of which being “Parenthood” it was very entertaining seeing you guys discover the kitchen/dining stuff from it 😂

What’s the actual idea and concept you say? The twins flip a coin whoever wins gets to spin a wheel to find out what room they get control over, then they alternate afterwards and the other twin cannot say no to the original concept Connie wants a string light bedroom? Caryn has to place as many string lights as possible, Caryn wants a whalebert yard? Connie can’t say no! The chaos would be so funny but also seeing the twins make everything work despite having total control of different rooms would be so satisfying

You guys made an “every room is a different aesthetic” video a while back and I REALLY want to see another house using the remaining unused aesthetics on the wheel. It was so cool seeing you guys build a whole narrative around the potential residents and seeing your brains working as the aesthetics had you thinking in different creative ways. PLEASE PLEASe please please please pleASE 🥺🙏

Y'all should do a wheel of colour palettes that are out of your comfort zone. I love the blues and greens and neutrals you use so much, but I think some of your best work comes when you're pushed (a la different room aesthetics)

Also for the babies nap room sheep theme, toddler boy nap rooms dinosaur theme, and for the toddler girls you can do a cottagecore/fox nap room. And on the outside, a mini water park/pool with WHALEBERT!! I would love to see this! And according to my research, it must contain STRING LIGHTSS!! Ya’ll are the best and I love when you two post!

Maybe they work together really well (realm of magic and crystal creations) or maybe they're a rough fit (vampires and kids stuff)

Maybe for a video you could do trying to style rooms with one pack but trying to use the pack to do a totally different style than it was intended for (like how you guys made the city living stuff cozy and country looking)

Usually those random "light" switches are powered to an outlet :)
We have some that we use for our main lamp, that we can switch on and off from the entrance!

honestly, i like how the house has the vibe of being super encouraging to the kid's creativity, having art from when years ago still on the fridge to the kid's chagrin, but theyre still artsy and unique (laptop for writing, guitar for music, paper art decorations, etc). the house was already cute on its own, but the LoreTM makes me feel deeply affectionate for it.
(also im willing to bet laptops, even cheap basic ones, are rather common for young kids rn cuz covid and online school).

Cottage living is easily my favorite, although eco lifestyle is up there too. The interactions with animals, the errands, the lot challenges, the clothing, and the build items are all perfect in my opinion. I can live out my simple lifestyle dreams

Get Together is definitely my favorite pack. Windenburg has the perfect mix of city and country. It has nightclubs and coffee shops. And the cool closets that let your sims change all the townies outfits!

Also, about the two switches - I have that in my living room, and they both go to the same spot. At first I, too, thought it was useless. Until I remembered ceiling fans.
Now I have a gorgeous ceiling fan with lights and one switch turns on the lights of the fan and one turns on the fan. No more feeling like I’m melting in the summers, yay!

Those light switches that seem to do nothing are typically to turn off the power to outlets in a room so you can turn on and off table/floor lamps without having to go one by one.
In our house we don't have any lamps plugged in to those outlets but we do have chargers and a laptop plugged in, so if that switch get flipped off everything will stop charging, so we just used duct tape to keep it permanently on.

Love the build! And my favourite pack is definitely Horse Ranch 🐴💕 I know it's a little random, but ever since I got the pack I've been in LOVE. All of my sims, even the ones who live in apartments, will be getting horses. I love the build/buy, and the cas is also so cute. Not sure why, but the horses really speak to me. I'm terrified of horses irl though 😭, tried to ride one when I was 6 (it did not go well) and I'm scared for life.

The house I grew up in had a light switch that did literally nothing by the side door, my mom said it was for a "coach light" out by the driveway that we never actually got, but the builders put in wiring for it since our driveway was pretty long, they thought we might want one to light it up. A friend of mine has a light switch wired for a ceiling fan/light combo, but doesn't want a fan so the second switch does nothing. There's all sorts of reasons tbh
