Bronco Embarrasses TRX in Snow Storm
This video was done by professionals under the supervision of professionals on a closed course!
In todays video, we take Kens new Ford Bronco and Ryans new Ram TRX out in a snowstorm and through some really deep snow. The Ram TRX gets stuck and the Bronco pulls it out. Later we buy a new Ram 2500 diesel truck and go snowmobe ditch riding in the ditches on our new Polaris snowmobiles.

it's the sound of the fuel gauge actively moving the entire time you are on the throttle
I don’t know what changed in Ken’s head, But I’m loving it, looks like he’s having more fun than ever actually joining in on your stunts if that’s what you want to call them. Keep it up Ken!!

Thought the same thing was on the fence about getting a TRX. The whine of the turbo is what put me off to it. Some people love it I like the traditional muscle sounds. Ended up getting a 392 still waiting on that shi to deliver lol.

living in colorado for 25 years i learned that it has a lot more to do with the tires you have than the vehicle you drive.

Just a PSA to anyone trying to unstick their friends from deep snow: don't pull in reverse if you don't have to. Automatic transmissions use hydraulic clutch packs to choose gears, and the ones used for reversing are usually the same ones used for the highway gears, so they're not made for high loads. You can burn then out or at least shorten the life of the transmission if you do a lot of pulling that way. Your differential gears are also engineered for transmitting torque in one direction, so it causes extra wear on those too. Doing it once probably won't hurt anything, but in general you should pull things with the back of your truck, not the front.
and use a yankum rope!
The gearing in reverse is much lower then your forward gears most of the time, never had an issue with pulling in reverse. In fact many off-road recovery channels pull in reverse frequently on video.
Pulling reverse actually is more efficient at times cause you have better traction, more weight over the front wheels then rear.

Depends, if you have weight in your truck bed then it won't matter. Personally I'll take the extra time over a transmission rebuild.

BOYSS I’ve wanted to say this for a while but you really helped me with a hard time in my life. On December 7th 2021 I had spinal fusion surgery at 14 years old. 2 Rods and 23 screws into my spine I’ve had scoliosis science I was 5 so there was no avoiding it. I had such a hard time In the hospital but I was binge watching you guys and it got me through every night. I couldn’t eat sleep and barely walk. I want you all to know that just doing what you do can really help someone through a hard time in their life. Now I gotta get my own quad, but that’s for another time.

Great video boys, the TRX is just too heavy and has no weight over the rear tires to compete with the Bronco off-road, great on road or gravel roads though 🥶
This is my favourite kinda video. The summer stuff is cool too but snowmobiling is how I found your channel about 4 years ago. Cool to see how much nicer your sleds have gotten lol. I still remember when Jake was rockin that old clapped out Polaris 600 race sled that he buried in the side of that one hill in the very early videos. And then his Levi Lavallee freestyle sled, that thing was possibly the most legendary vehicle on the channel. And my personal favourite, his Arctic Cat SX chassis. And I also still remember Micah's clapped out Summit. I've kinda grown with them though. I had some pretty shitty old trail sleds when I first started watching, now I'm on a 2017 Arctic Cat XF8000 153"

Make a spreadsheet of all your monthly expenses. You would be surprised how much people spend on daily coffee, snacks, fast food, and subscriptions they don’t even use. I cut my yearly expenses by over 7K. Start saving and only spending on things you truly want/need. And that Bronco will be yours sooner rather than later.

Dodge wants to sell you a cool looking truck with some nice horsepower, but the truck ain't what Dodge say it is, same with Chevy.

@@bodz9408 im not being bias, go research and you'll see im not lying. Rather it's a work truck or Baja truck, the Dodge and Chevy only make gimmicks. They make nice trucks but not what they say the truck is.

Good way to destroy the diff gears by pulling in reverse.
You're putting load on the weak side of the ring & pinion when doing so.
Just pulling something won't hurt but putting a huge shock load (especially with a non-kinetic strap) will eventually break something.

just an FYI i believe you guys said yours is a 2500, the 3500 has the H.O motor which has around 1000+ ft lbs of torque, whereas the 2500 only has like 870ft lbs of torque.
also, its a little bit of a learning curve to learn to drive ram trucks, specifically the cummins. because of the raw torque the straight 6 diesel puts out they use whats called 'TORQUE MANAGEMENT" which in simple terms feels like horrible dead pedal/turbo lag/and a delay in the throttle. with that said, these trucks can feel sluggish, to avoid the sluggish feeling DO NOT just mash the throttle, get it up to about 20-30 mph (torque converter locked) and just roll into the throttle gradually instead of just punching it. ive heard the pedal commander and the pedal monster help with this, although i cannot say for sure as i have not tried it yet on my 2021 cummins.

But is it really a cummins if your not mashing the pedal? Get it deleted and remove the air flow director from the intake and now you have an F-18 fighter jet!
Also a pedal commander just sends higher voltage to the ecu tricking it into thinking that the pedal is further down then it is, its the same as mashing the pedal just half a second faster
@@kylefehr3180 i do not have one on my 2021 cummins, but i have heard people really like what it does to the laggy throttle response on these trucks. The delay doesnt bother me enough to do anything about it, but i do definitely notice it. Do you have a newer ram diesel? If your trying to accelerate quickly i can see it being slightly dangerous.
