In the US we pay the highest taxes in the world if you include private health insurance and we don't get anything for it like other countries.

The problem is politicians LIKE Bernie, who never deliver on the song and dance they sell their sheep to gain power. How do you think these people all get so incredibly wealthy so quickly? By saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. THEY are the ones who get into bed with the corporations, sell the rest of the country out, and then tap dance all the way to the bank laughing at us all as they do. Sanders is no savior. None of them are. The answer isn't more taxes because that money NEVER goes where it is supposed to. The answer is a smaller government that stays in its lane. But, that is not happening any time soon. In the meantime, more of the same.

Amazon paid no taxes last year, yet was able to take advantage of public services like our roads and even the post office to ship items.
Tesla and SpaceX has been greatly subsidized by the government, yet pays little to nothing in taxes.

As an Illinois native 85 soon--I've thought that of him since I first learned of him in August 1963. That was from a Chicago Tribune photo that showed a policeman "helping" him to the ground for marching against segregation. It's still available on You Tube as "Bernie and Civil Rights in Chicago." The NAACP got him out of jail the next day. Since then, he has been on the right ("correct") side of all the issues that are most important to me, including (but not limited to) civil, economic, environmental, gender, racial and social justice...and peace.

Here you need to be corrected about both your "$95 per ticket and flies first class" and your "the suckers" comments. The only $95 per ticket I've even heard of (and that was verbally from someone not named at the time) was an event arranged by his publisher (with the cost set by the publisher and not controlled by Bernie). And, it also included a copy of his book. I actually don't know which book...but I have a copy of his 2018 "Where We Go from Here: Two Years in the Resistance," and the cost of it on the jacket is $27.99 ($36.50 in Canada). As far as I know, over many years, Sen. Sanders has flown first class Only when it was the Only way to stay on time for scheduled events.

Easy solution: stop funding our false allies in the EU. Let them pay their own bills.
