@@simonfawcett5265 exactly. Not hating at all. It’s just odd to hear her speak like that. Like I do it when I’m speaking to someone who doesn’t speak English to try and make the words easier for them to pick up and interpret. Doing it to English speakers makes zero sense

I feel like people rip on her accent, but it makes so much sense when you speak so many languages that your accent will change depending on who you are speaking to... it's almost like treating British English and American English as separate languages. She's likely used to switching to the language of the person she's speaking to.
You are correct. I am not a native speaker but half of my school years were done in a full english speaking class from around the world. My accent can go from australian to american and everything in between
Completely agree. I'm a native English speaker who lives in the states and deal with a lot of international customers and I have to consciously not mirror accents back to them. Same with my family and friends who live across the country. 10 minutes on the phone with my uncle and I have a Brooklyn accent and don't even realize it. 😂
Those are just haters, I really don't understand why they say it's cringe, I think it's a flex, and because they cannot.

Exactly the point I attempted to make previously but there’s so many people who can barely speak one that struggle comprehending that point. The fact that she actually can speak multiple languages with the accent of a native speaker is incredible. I travel internationally and attempt to do the same in order not to stand out as a foreigner and I’m sure when she’s with Americans she might do the same

Ikr. I discovered one yesterday that I know from TV but didn't know they were British. I can't remember who it was. I literally just remembered now. It's the guy who plays Daredevil. Had no idea he's British.

Maybe we are clinging to our own accents as our identity partly because we lack the ability to speak other languages (and accents) but she is actually free to communicate most effectively with any and everyone.
Like even talking to Americans in a professional setting, there’s no point in her being stubborn and calling it football 🏴🏴🏴 when it would just ruin the flow as everyone is referring to it as soccer.
Its not really that though is it, no one is saying she can't communicate how she wants but it's simply just odd, what are we suppose to do notice it and never mention it. I'm English and speak 3 languages and I lived in America for 4 years. If I started talking to Americans I wouldn't suddenly have a completely different accent like she does.

I haardly mastered my own language 😂 10 language is amazing..
There’s two ways to look at it. One is to mock Kate because she switches accents depending on where she is/who she is talking too. The other is to recognise it as a talent, because when she does it, it doesn’t sound ridiculous or phoney, it sounds genuine to those she’s speaking with. How you perceive it, may say something about you
