To be honest, a lot of people are talking about how painful it was on the smudging part. But i didn't feel so, because despite how cheesy it sounds, that was the idea behind the artwork. I like it!
It was the most satisfying part for me, its sort of showing that you have to lose something to gain something. Reminded me of the buddhist monks who make the extremely complex sand art and destroy just after finishing.
Heyitsdanny No as in her brush strokes and how she wipes his face are very representitive of his character. If she didnt do that it would just be a picture of joker but that gives it more meaning
i love this SO MUCH. the way you start off with the controlled, restrained and secure movements, and ending it with just wiping all of your hard work and going in with your hands with those bold colours. really representative of his character developing in the film. great work!!!

You could try recreating a piece in diffrent artstyles. Its helpful for learning new techniques and experimenting what features you like and want to include in your work
the music stopping abruptly when she smudged the painting was so jarring, damn. i know she was gonna do it but the music stopping caught me off guard. great art btw :)

와우 ㄹㅇ 생각하시는거 쩌는거 같아요 사람 자체는 붓으로 섬세히 온전한 느낌 하지만 조커로 바뀜으로써 손으로 그린다는거 자체가 ‘조커 분장’을 잘 표현하신거 같아요 완벽히 분장으로 얼굴을 가리지도 않고 본얼굴이 좀 보이게, 덕지 덕지 막 그리시는거 같으면서도 조커의 성격을 표현하신 느낌이에요 정말 그림을 조커로 분장시켜주시네요,, ㄷㄷ
I’ve always wanted to find MY art instead of looking at others and taking ideas. The way you just freely move with your brush it amazes me. The way you just don’t care if you mess up is amazing. I think that’s where my art needs to come from.
Mikaela Forte no lol I would look at others art and try to use those techniques but I realized from her art work it’s not about technique it’s about having fun and trying different things.
How are you gonna find your art if you don't take in other people's ideas? If you focus too much on learning everything by yourself, it'll take you years to improve. To draw, paint and sketch like the masters, you need to learn and let yourself get inspired by the masters. References, ideas, techniques...all of it. Good luck :)
I keep coming back for the creation, smudge, and remake. The fact that somebody would willingly ruin something they put their time and effort into and start all over again without much of a pause or a bit of a frustrated art break is really interesting in a way. It makes me want to do that. Put time into something just to destroy it in the end. Sad yet satisfying. Kind of lets you be more in the moment, you know? Appreciate what you have before it's gone. Wow. I really got in my feels for a hot second. My bad y'all.
There is a Tibetan Buddhist tradition called a sand mandala, in which Buddhist monks create a beautiful circle of intricate colors with sand, and then destroy it. This symbolizes the impermanence of life and worldly possessions (like art). I think this relates to what you are trying to say.

Soft sad music, then it just STOPS and you smudge the face and the music starts up again all frantic?? Then you paint with your fingers just like Arthur painting on his smile- this isn’t just a video of you making a piece of artwork, the whole video is in itself the piece of art and that is such a great combination of mediums that hit me really hard. i love when paintings look like random colors up close, but when you stand back it actually looks realistic and amazing
Soft sad music, then it just STOPS and you smudge the face and the music starts up again all frantic?? Then you paint with your fingers just like Arthur painting on his smile- this isn’t just a video of you making a piece of artwork, the whole video is in itself the piece of art and that is such a great combination of mediums that hit me really hard. This is incredibly inspiring.
