  • CSIS is pleased to invite you to a special conversation about the evolution of U.S. foreign policy in Asia.
In February, Stephen J. Hadley, former National Security Advisor to President George W. Bush, released Hand-Off: The Foreign Policy George W. Bush Passed to Barack Obama, offering insight and perspective on declassified transition memos across a range of geopolitical issues facing the incoming Obama administration.
Mr. Hadley will join CSIS for a fireside chat on the foreign policy and national security perspective of the Bush administration from 2001-2009 and the landscape around key issues such as great power competition with China, nuclear proliferation in North Korea, and U.S. diplomatic strategy in Asia.
The fireside chat will be followed by a senior expert panel offering insights on the evolution of U.S. policy in Asia in the years following the Bush-Obama transition, where we stand now, and what challenges and opportunities lie ahead for U.S. strategy in the region.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
