- May 31,2009 Hip Korea with Rain (Jihoon Jung) is an interesting documentary by Discovery Channel. This documentary aired earlier this year in Europe and Asia, but not in the US. (We don't know why.) Anyway, Hip Korea offers a fascinating look at Rain's global rise in music and acting. It includes interviews with JYP and his childhood. It even talks about the Rain vs Stephen Colbert dance off last year and his role in Speed Racer.

Thanks so much for this .I am a big fan of JIhoon Jung and had never seen this before. Surely makes you appreciate him all the more, what a hard working man whose talent just keeps growing. He certainly is a wonderful represenative of S Korea.
One song that comes to my mind when I think of RAIN and his talent is "I love you just the way you are".
wow #Rain he can sing, dance like hell, act and also i didn't know that he is a designer. and his new album is amazing 2 HOPE HE WILL ALWAYS BE NUMBER 1 #RAINFIGHTING !!!

God bless RAIN. I wish him much success and happiness. I'm on his side. Keep on doing your thing. Don't ever become someone you are not or let others make and mold you. Go for what you want. Keep making great songs and nice dance routines. The best thing about you is "Being You". Thinking of your own ideas, using your own mind, your own style. The greatest turn out to be those that don't feel they have to follow, but instead they take the lead.

inspirational stories like this (similar to the build-up of Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Kang Daniel etc.) who rlly started from nothing to having everything....just motivates the hell out of me !!
RAIN is one who inspires me. He's great. I love to hear him sing. Love his smile and he seems like nice person also. He should always remember that the truth is, he should never think he is not great. In life some of the best don't always get the credit they rightfully deserve. RAIN is great. I see it, I hear it in his songs, see it in his dance, his style. Never think any less of yourself should others not want to give you credit you rightfully deserve. I can say there are singers who think they are so great, but not as good as RAIN. RAIN has it. He never need doubt himself or feel he has to prove that. It already shows. Like I always say, "I believe in giving credit where credit is rightfully due". I would choose RAIN over many others.

I now understand why he gives a 110% in everything he does, even in games you'll see him doing the most; its because he's had to and it sure did pay off. Since Rain debut in 2002, who's still remain an avid of this great guy? I did since 2004, the moment I watched Full House. From the bottom of my heart, his name embedded inside. I love you Rain.

I suspect the reason this documentary aired everywhere except the U.S. is because the American music industry doesn't want Americans to discover Rain or K-pop in general -- too much competition. They want to keep things separate. You keep your music over there, we'll keep our music over here.
