DIY: 5 Lug Conversion on your Car or Truck
소스 코드
- 게시일 2017. 07. 25.
- DIY four to five lug conversion and wheel bearing replacement. In this video I show you how to do a 4 to 5 lug conversion on a Nissan 240sx owned by KRplusr SaabKyle04, but this applies to any 4 lug car. You can also use this process to go from a 5 to 6 lug on a truck or even 6 to 5 lug if you want. You are basically replacing the wheel bearing and hub assembly so this lug conversion applies to many different cars and trucks.

You're the only KRplusr I watch ads for. Love your videos, and that's the best way I can help :p
Thanks a lot Beau! That really means a lot and helps greatly! What also helps is how you guys watch the whole video completely though! I know you do this because I can see the stats and I also thank you for that so so much!!!
ChrisFix i have a request and i hope you make this happen but is it possible if you can moke a video about how to uninstall and install a new sound system or a radio into a vehicle.
ChrisFix, why don't you say hi to me on face book
ChrisFix please make video everyday
ChrisFix long time subscriber live your videos,my ford ranger has a problem in the steering I uploaded a video of what it's doing , if u have a spare 5 minutes could you check it out and maybe give me a diagnosis. Thanks
Who needs thread locker when you have corrosion to hold your bolts tight
Chrismiester i have never laughed so hard to a comment before hahahaha:D
Then you get to play games of *MANLY BOLT REMOVAL.*

Can confirm corrosion will hold bolts tight lol

I was always afraid to do something on my car before, but since i discovered chrisfix channel, now I DO EVERYTHING on my own car. It saves me a lot of money and above that, i'm really proud after the work i did. So THANKS A LOT CHRIS!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
That is awesome! I am glad the videos are helpful and that you are also having fun and feeling amazing fixing your own car! That is what it is all about!
plz do more vids
how do you fix the gear shifter boot cover thing
Yes, except you live in germany where you cant do anything without TÜV. ;_;
E B I know right but I'm too young and my parents won't let me even if I knew
Chris is the type of a guy that could fix your depression with just some common handtools
and medium strength thread locker
Damn that hit me. Real talk
chrisfix making sure we dont hurt ourselves during the repair is such a nice detail
Absolutely! Safety always comes before anything else!
@@chrisfix as a highschooler in the direction of carmechatronic I couldn't agree more, it is especially emportant not to hurt ur self when a tool brakes, if you hit your hand on the car and start to bleed, wash it off and put a band aid on it, be like our tutorial maker and friendly neighbourhood Cris that can Fix
I can't believe you fit all the details into a 13 minute video
Can someone please make a compilation of Chris saying “medium strength thread locker” from all of his videos.
Haha I’ll share it if it gets remixed.
I will do that! :)
Out with the old and in with the new
“Soapy wooder” I lovee When he says that!!
just run it through the rust belt for a few weeks there you go! medium locking strength lol
Mechanic's hate Chris because he does everything by himself. Mechanics be like bro why😭
Haha
His friends and family love him though 😏
@@chrisfix im gonna rank you as a home car mechanic, bc you have sick videos
mechanics probably watch chris fix on the job
Mechanics hate Chris fix because he makes it look easy
When we will see “common hand tools” full engine swap?
Man, watching your videos really shows how easy a lot of "scary mecanic work" really is
I can't wait to work on my car now
Awesome!!!
Until something fucks up, bolt breaks off, cant get to a bolt your trying to loosen, replacing something to find out that wasnt the problem, of course losing that 10mm socket you need, breaking the tool you needed, not having the tool you need and finding out it's really expensive, hitting your head on the frame of the car by accident 😂😂😂, etc.
@@ethand.7801 sounds like u spent a fortune jus winging it. Good job

This is one of the best diy videos I have ever seen, I was even looking to do this but kept watching until I realized it was over lol. Very well made, clear, smooth and quick. It really is good!
Wow the details he goes in to and patience to do what he does is crazy. LOVE every video, thank you for all the help to save money ChrisFix
Can you sometimes in the future do a drum to disc brake conversion? Preferably to a E30 :) since i have one. if not no problem Thanks
Winesh Ghazi check out might car mod they did a drum to disc on a Mitsubishi evo
Winesh Ghazi Nice. The e30 was always a good car.
In the process of doing 4 to 5 lug and drum to disc conversion on my 02 accord. I ended up needing the whole steering knuckle front and back.
Winesh Ghazi he’s going to, on a video he made on the mustang he showed a “drum to disk brake conversion” on the side bar. He also said all of those videos are coming in the future!
What e30 model do you have?
Best channel ever . KEEP GOING CHRIS
Thanks a lot!!!
I've been subscribed to ChrisFix for a few years now. I've learned a ton and left a few comments.
After watching one of your videos, like the DIY no-weld rust repair I watched yesterday, I feel like I am an expert on the subject (not arrogant, but knowledgable) and can do just about any car repair.
His videos inspire me to do vehicle repairs myself.
Thanks, Chris. :)
I'm glad you learned a lot and are inspired the videos! Thanks!
I love how you do everything to spec and torque everything down 🤙🏽 you’re awesome man!
I have always wondered if ChrisFix buys his medium-strength thread locker in bulk.
Not to mention brake clean, paper towels and the ChrisFix patented "Soapy Wooder"
Why? He just uses "A little Bit" .....
haha surprisingly I buy those small containers. I really should get bulk thread locker!
MrThecarfreak777 what's the paper towels for? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

90% of your videos I watch have nothing to do with my life at all but I watch them anyway xD nice videos man!
Thanks a lot! Hopefully you learn something new while watching as well!
I actually have two videos I would like you to make!! How to fix a sagging headliner of a car (the material one) and how to fix a small crack (big chip) in a bumper without spraying the whole bumper
Dons Plays check out bleepin jeeps channel. There are a few good videos. Also sun visors.
I thought i was the only one!!!
Dude, you’re so positive and helpful in these videos, thanks for being awesome.
Quick tip: When replacing brake rotors, it's usually a good idea to also replace the brake PADS. If the old pads still have plenty of material, at the very least, resurface the pads with some heavy grit sand paper...
Good tip
Chris just marry the breaker bar already😂😂
+Itsbeachbum ! I do!
ChrisFix you replied 😄😄keep up the great work when I'm old enough imma buy an 04 subie and use your videos as help and inspiration
Dont tell anyone but i caught him cheating with Blue medium strength thread locker
LowFD3S dude for real?!?!
Don't forget to keep the thread locker around in case the marriage doesn't work out.
Chris you always put out quality content! Wish you did more videos bro!
Thanks man! They are quality because from the minute the last video goes live, I start working on the next one. I spend at least 12hrs a day working on a video every day until it goes live!

i love how you so easily use mistakes as teachable moments "Pull it out with the pliers, and if ti breaks don't worry, just pull it out from the other side" You do this in a lot of your videos and I really love it. Things rarely go according to plan and it's nice to have a few extra tips
Me: Chris Im having some relationship problems
Chrisfix: here’s some medium strength thread locker
Your videos never fail, I don’t even have to work on this just is fun and you really make it into a learning experience 🐐
I watch a lot of youtube tetrorials and it was such a pleasure to watch your clip even I had no intention to do any of these. but I acquired so much knowledge about a car hahaha. .
Very good video mate I'll certainly like and follow
Show us how to super clean the interior.
Brayden Moncrief step 1: remove everything from interior
Step 2: go to parts department in nearest Nissan dealership
Step 3: order all new parts for interior
Step 4: wait for parts to come from Japan
Step 5: install all new interior parts
Step 6: fix any possible injury on self
Step 7: enjoy all new parts from Japan
Once I get a car with a dirty interior I will.
ChrisFix how tell if you have bad fuel pressure regulator
I can make it dirty for you for FREE!

About to get my first car soon and wanted to do a lug conversion since the miata has a 4 lug pattern and theres a certain wheel i love thank chris this will help alot down my tuner path
I dunno i don't even have a car or driving license bc im 14 but your videos are just so entertaining since im very intrested what comes to cars and other vehicles that has 4 wheels and bc of your educating and entertaining videos i might be able to get that summer job from the local garage and i dunno about how these things work in america or other countries but in Finland we have this TET-week (työ Elämään Tutustumis. Im too lazy to translate atm but you can translate if with some translator or read my desciption btw) wich is that one school week you go to somewhere you wan't to work for one week and ask if you could go and work for them (without wage wich sucks but we have own day for that work too and they might give you a little tip if done good work) and in here where i live is only 2 car shops one is that garage and other is body shop so thanks to these videos and that my grandfather and father knows lots about cars and they will teach me too im starting to get a hang for this but i've heard that in USA you can get your drivers license when 16 years old and if that's true im so fucking jealous bc in Finland that age is 18
Awesome man! I am glad you enjoy the videos!!!!
ChrisFix ofc i do😁
I'm sensing a drum to disc conversion in the near future...🤔
Haha you know it!
Please do my drums in my truck are due for an upgrade!

Those stock(?) - wheels with those circles - are so 90s. I love them.
"A real easy trick is to go into the interior"
Me: What interior???
That's what I said out loud too when I saw that 😂
i know this is a joke but incase you were serious, interior means the inside of said thing(sitting in the seats, looking inside anything, etc)
@@dumb2smartd376 nah it’s because there is nothing inside
I said the same thing...😂
I have a ford focus, and I wanted to do a 4 to 5 lug conversion, and this video showed me how to do it! Thank you!
Darn good job and video Mr. Chris. Pretty slick.
I can't say I like the new style rims, am partial to the older ones that weren't see through. But it sure was a great job and great video.
I want Chris to upload more because I love this channel
If only this type of video and this quality didnt take time. I would love to upload more often and I am trying! The more I can help people, the better!

Hey, can u do a video of a drum brake to 5 lug conversion!?
I'm 12 I don't have a car but I love to watch your videos because they inspire me to be a engineer/mechanic
Keep up the good work
same😂👍
MudJugBill that is actually wrong. They say if you get paid to do what you love than you don't see it as work at all.
MudJugBill you're going on personal opinion for you but if you actually loved your job it's not like working. Maybe your management or pay sucks. It also makes your skill set even better since you do it daily so personal projects would have a better fit and finish. I'm an electrician love what I do and just bought my first home and have many projects planned out.
MudJugBill I already am. Was doing audio systems for friends cars in high school. Did online how-to projects like making tasers out of Altoid cans. Not I'm an electrician and have been one since 2008. Currently building a nightlight for my daughter's room. It is what you make of it and you shouldn't be going around trying to kill the dreams of a 12 year old just because it didn't work out for you.
MudJugBill like I said, that is YOUR truth, not everyone else's. There is no need to down play what I said, it was a hobby of mine at a young age dealing with electrical things and now I make a living off of it.
I love how you do EVERYTHING step by step. I find alot of car youtubers that only skip to „fun” stuff. But i enjoy all of it, not only the new fresh stuff. And i will use this tutorial on my AdamLZ inspired 200SX s13 ❤️ ya bro
Wow, this video is so informative and so simple. I really need this as i want to convert my hubs from 5-100 to 5-114 pcd on my 86. Awesome! New subscriber here!
After 2 weeks of chris fix video's, my mechanic was sent to change his job. Well done chris!
Could you do a video about "Super cleaning your car interior"?
It would be good to see. Until that day check out the Ammo NYC channel, they're good too.
I asked the same thing
That moment when my jaw hit the floor cause that ratchet extended. Buying now.

I just got one too!
haha, I link it in the description! For the price, you cannot beat it. I just started using it! Way better than switching to a breaker bar every time you need a little more leverage!
He'll I found a nice extending ratchet at harbour freight. Helps alot getting the extra pull/push. Three years later no problem. MAKES A NICE EXPANDABLE BATON DEFENSE WEAPON TOO!
Yeah, most of the stuff in the video is sold at harbor freight.

Great job Chris. Best video ever.
A better wheel options is the only advantage. I’ve been running four stud on my cefiro with no issues apart from short on wheel options. I’ve gtr brakes on it with new rotors drilled and slotted. Well done in this video though. Well explained and spoken. Proper procedure.
Awesome videos, keep up the good work! Chris I wish I could have you detail my 1994 Dodge Ram cummins diesel engine bay. Those engine cleaning videos were fantastic. The dirt and sludge from a 300k engine would be a worthy challenge
The reason it is recommended axle nuts are discarded after use is that many are torqued to yield and so strength is compromised after being torqued. Sometimes this means the nut is permanently stretched so its not even possible to thread it back onto the axle. However, not all are torqued to yield, follow the instructions in your service manual - if it is recommended to replace it, they're cheap, might as well.
TheBlackStealth Nice advice, can NEVER be too safe my friends.
