a volvo 740 940 or 240, they all got a god amount of wheel lock and a live axle in the rear that will make it easy to keep it under control even when going wide, and the B230 engines are stupidly simple to work on and can hold a lot of boost, and even if you decide to get a different engine there is allot of space under the hood.

E36 328i, it's the cheapest alternative that will get you a LOT of fun. The FC RX-7 could also be great, but handling a Rotary's maintenance could be a pain. COnsidering it's a first drifting experience, and as you said yourself, you'd want to get something that's already a bit beat up, the 328i would be perfect.

First off, a 316 will never be enough. I don't even think they make 100hp. The bare minimum is a 320. I bought a 325i for only $500 running, and its a perfect drift car.

glad I found your series again :) I had to hit the bell so you pop up. Just picked up a RWD 06 BMW 325i that I want to make into a budget drift car. atm just replacing a few bad sensors and getting a full check up done on it. Tho hearing the guy talking about drift truck could be fun as I have a 84 2WD F150 with a 351 H.O.
You can get a 350Z for $4000 in Wonderland maybe.

I'd say a Camaro/Firebird/Trans Am (92 or 97-02) or even a mini truck like an S-10!
I like the full size truck idea, as you can find great fullsize trucks in a standard cab/2WD configuration. Something like a 90s C1500 or F150. Of course, the RX-7 and Miata ideas were great too!

4.0 Ford Ranger would be a neat drift vehicle. Light in the rear, and an awesome power:weight ratio.

LT1 and supercharge it, Vortec heads, easily 400 hp to the wheels, not many people build these cars for drift, unique.

rotaries are perfect for drifting. lightweight, great handling, and the engine loves to be revved. check out mad Mike's radbull build, it's a quad rotor dropped in a miata chassis

This is my favorite ChrisFix series ever because the 1998 Mustang GT is my dream car and I now own one. Not everyone can be as lucky as me when the best car KRplusr out there has the same car as them and it makes working on it a breeze!

I wish I knew this channel many years ago. I want to see a Mazda as a project car. I aspire to be like Chrisfix, I want to be able to take care of cars. I don't know where to start.
That could be a fun project! And the best way to start is to do simple maintenance on cars (like an oil change: krplus.net/bidio/f5WgeGJndabbp2k), build up a tool collection (krplus.net/bidio/oqeHmaJ7gn3ceoo) and just keep learning more and more about your car! Eventually you'll be able to do bigger and better projects, and you'll save a ton of money along the way!

I prefer a pickup truck, that build would be unique, always fun to slide around and getting funny reactions. Don't pick a project car that's common.

I'm not sure what the years were but the body style for 84 was rwd and I believe the next body style was awd but I could be wrong

im not sure where you live, but around where i live in VA, you can find a cheap mustang or even a 180 ors 240 nissan, for $1000-$2000 bucks. Just the other day i saw a fox body mustang, with a 302 for $1500. and you can easily drop that price. seeing your videos on drift build, makes me want to do one haha. Im mostly into jeeps and muscle cars, but doing a drift build would seem fun. How did you go about finding a drifting club? thanks really enjoy your videos.
