My Boy died this week and I must put him to rest. Thank you Carrie for your angelic voice, It was as if this song was writen just for him... It will be my forever song for my Son and his passing. . I was so confused & perplexed. In my mind I thought "I'd like to help you out with that but right now I'm kinda busy checking my breathing & pulse to see if I've died of a broken heart. Wondering how it's even possible that hasn't occurred. Not upset it hasn't happened. Just perplexed"

And hold your hand if you wanted to hold someone's hand.

I love Carrie and her wardrobes for shows. Her voice is AMAZING. She is a good person. I really wish she wouldn't get caught up in having those bigger lips. They are so distracting and they make her look like her lips are all swollen from an allergic reaction. She doesn't need help with her looks.

My brother passed away this past Saturday. We will be having this played at his funeral. The last 6 years of his life have been rough on him. So time for him to Rest In Peace!
My brother passed away Monday (March 4th) 37 years old in a tragic wreck God called him home and Iโll be singing this song for him at his funeral. I pray God and him will give me the strength to get through it. โค๏ธ. He had a hard life and struggled and battled his whole life and heโs finally healed and rejoicing in heaven.

The tears were flowing when Carrie sang this song. I lost my dad almost 26 years ago and my local country music station was doing a nation wide telethon for Saint Jude and the American Cancer Society a week after his funeral. I called in and told them that I lost him to lung cancer, I thanked God that he got to meet his first grandchild, and asked if they could play and dedicate this song to him. Well they did, and every time I hear it I cry just as much.
She brought Vince to tears, which is all you need to know. Absolutely beautiful.

I left a comment saying essentially the opposite. : ] This is excellent, and the songs are very different from one another, but I don't know how anyone who isn't simply biased in favor of 'Go Rest High On That Mountain' can say that this surpasses her rendition of 'How Great Thou Art'. Even objectively, if that's possible, this isn't nearly as powerful or evocative as her performance of 'How Great Thou Art'. I'm not the biggest fan of Gospel music, but Carrie singing 'How Great Thou Art' nearly brought a tear to my eye.
Vince has always been a Carrie fan and proud dad or uncle in the country music world. He's so proud of her success in the country music world.
To the people commenting about her lips, she had an accident a few years back where she needed 40+ stitches across her mouth up to her nose, it was very bad. Since then, she has always looked different. She probably also requires upkeepโฆ but PLEASE stop trashing her about it, she is still GORGEOUS!

I never paid any attention before or since to American Idol, but I absolutely locked in on Carrie- not even sure how I saw that, but I was COMMITTED to her as a performer. I imagine e I just k ew in my heart that she would be the Carrie Underwoid we know now. Nothing but love foe this incredible woman.

This was so powerful. This was one of the songs at my mothers funeral. She loved this song. I have noticed she put in another verse of her own it was soooo powerful I see why Vince had a tear not just him but all of us that were watching. Like a friend said to me if that did not make your skin shiver it was on way to tight. Great version.

I lost my dad at the end of November last year. He went into the hospital for needing blood and they found Leukemia was everywhere. He came home and passed the night after getting home on hospice. Iโm 30 and listening to this song breaks my little girl heart all over! This song was my daddy. I am comforted knowing where he is and I will see him again one day. Listening to this now is the first time Iโve fell apart since his passing. He was soo much more than a daddy. It hurts.
