A real human being don't support someone indecent like Trump, who calls immigrants cartels, rapists, and low IQ, or children living in cages as treated well. A decent human being won't support a president who says, "I take full responsibility," but immediately contradicts himself with: "It’s not my fault. It's China's fault." A patriotic American don't vote for a president who pays more taxes in foreign countries, and refuses to reveal his tax returns after using the same audit excuse for 5 straight years.

Didn't reddit just straight-up ban many right-wing subreddits? That does not seem like the best aproach to 'fight trolls', so using it to exemplify 'cleaning up the internet' is quite biased.
Yeah and now on Reddit you’ll see left-wing political posts on subreddits that are not meant to be political
They gave many many warnings to the moderators first. Almost a year's worth and it was only when the bots started invading other communities that it was forced to clamp down. Reddit also supports good conversation through, for example, r/asktrumpsupporters.

Reddit didn't fight against trolls. They just banned all right wing subreddits which is not fighting against trolls or bot but censorship.

Yesterday soon after the Canadian broadcaster CTV posted a clip of the debate, the video got 100 comments, and when I clicked the profiles, all but five had real activity on their channel (i.e. playlists, favorites, posted videos, etc.).

A troll is anyone who disagrees with an individual or majority consensus. Be it not the correct definition- that’s what it has become.
Definitions can be subjective but your comment does not reflect the video's definition.

Every time I’ve seen the word used. It’s derogatory in nature. And usually beginning with an insult from the person who made the original comment. After someone try’s successfully or not, correcting them. From the Grammar Nazi- to the person who watched a video on KRplus it’s very common place. I do see the true troll but they’re easy to spot.
Then you have those other people. Who’s intention is to stop misinformation and encourage people to freely think for themselves rather than let others think for them.

Based on my experience on social media, easiest way to detect trolls is to look for catchphrases like "do your own research". They try to spread misinformation by writing something radically fake and add these kinda phrases without backing their claim/statement. I think they hope that if the person reading has same political leanings, they'll consume the content as is. And the ones with opposite leanings will not. But they're more interested in "on the fence" audience. If they look up what this troll has claimed, there's a good chance that they'll find something somewhere related to it, because it's internet. And now it's upto the audience to decide for themselves whether to believe it or not. Unfortunately, many people don't really put in efforts to fact check, look at authenticity of the website where they're reading things and trolls take advantage of this.
