  • The movie business has a reputation for being recession-proof. Even when the economy’s in a downturn, people want entertainment. But with the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the U.S. and the world, movie theaters are in panic mode seven months into the coronavirus pandemic. Big movie theater chains, AMC and Regal Cinemas, reopened their theaters to the public back in late August. But with several blockbuster movies pushed back to Christmas or to 2021, movie theater chains are shutting down across the U.S. and the United Kingdom for the second time. With the movie business competing with popular streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ and Apple+, is this the end of the movie theater business as we know it? Here’s what the movie business looks like during a pandemic, and what it will look like in the future.

I think we may find over the next 10 years home owners if possible may convert their double garage into a home cinema. A double garage is a fairly good sized home theatre for the family + friends, extended family. And if possible if space allows, in front of the newly converted double garage a new carport with the old existing garage door, that came off the garage which was cladded. With streaming movies to video games, sports events, even paying for live sold out music concerts events which isn’t a thing yet which should be soon enough and so much more, the home cinema/ theatre will became ever more popular as this decade rolls on.

step up to support these theaters?
We've now seen how THEIR OWN sales

    what/where/when/how

If they were smart they could but they are not. Streaming digitally has been available for well over ten years. It was a premiere service only available to the rich and celebrities.
During this pandemic they should have quickly adjusted and would have had a golden opportunity to make money during a period where people had nothing to do during lock downs.
You see it now a little to where it goes to streaming services but they are charging way to much. $30 to see Mulan? That's even more if we had gone to the theater. It needs to be $5 - $10 no more.
