Except even during medieval times it took 3 bouts of plague that killed half of the population (well, the 3 bouts had different mortality rates but one was around 50%) to make a change, and it wasn't because the people decided to rise up, it took several decades and a lack of labor force to start seeing the changes so it's not that simple. I would compare this with the Spanish Flu, an event that brought by large changes but didn't change the economic landscape for centuries to come like the bubonic plagues did.

We want to live in peace, be treated fairly, be free to roam, to think,, to speak.
