I don't understand how asking Chevron employees to reapply for their job helps anything unless they weren't going to hire them back or they are going to hire them back at a less wage. Who does that help but Chevron? Someone explain how this benefits the employee? I may be missing something.
That's exactly what's happening. They rehire someone whose been there for 5-10 years at near entry-level salary; wiping out their benefits and perks they've accumulated to save some coin. Shame on Chevron for doing this but also shame on the employees for going along with it!

I hear the economy is doing fine but I’ve mostly seen help wanted signs at fast food low paying jobs. Small business owners who lost their businesses are supposed to pay a mortgage or a family on a McDonald’s salary?
All that’s hiring are horrible crap jobs just like before C-19 BUT there are fewer crap jobs now and they pay less and you get treated worse! I was able to find a job in less than 3 weeks for unlivable wages, with terrible hours, in an equally bad company. I make less now compared to what I was making before C-19 hit! Plus there’s the added risk of getting C-19 now. Welcome to America, land of the peasant working slave, land of massive inequalities and increasing deaths from those in lower class America! The rich simply want many of us dead at this point.

you have to ask who benefits by breaking up our tech companies... the answer is other international tech companies, often with the backing of their governments. Don't you think Alibaba would love it if Amazon was broken up tomorrow? For every tech company in the US there is an alternate company in the East, looking for an upper hand on the US market.

Layoffs will hit hard. Jobs will be sent to India or automated. A job that can be done on a computer can be done by a computer. I own a small contacting company and I bartend a few nights a week. I make well over $100k per year. Try automating my job or having Sunjay do it!

What we went thru is one of the greatest dislocations in US history, with marginal businesses 'on the edge' calling it a day. Putting things back together is impossible, but reconstructing a viable nation is doable, of course, and a gigantic challenge. It would be nice if we had 2 parties in step with each other instead of 'a house divided'. We have to all hang together, somehow...

The sad thing is many of these rich companies are actually doing well, that's why the stock market has been incredibly high, while others are struggling, they print more money, Trump promises stimulus, so being forward looking, people pump money in the market, and prices continue to skyrocket. I'm a stimulus finance channel channel and tell others, the markets are influenced more by what people think will happen, than what actually is happening. That's why the people are struggling, but the markets are actually soaring!!

I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?
Your problem could be your stop loss is too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?
@@veronicavaladez3916 I know of one lady though, she is not a mentor per-se, but she is freakishly good at trading. From what I've gathered she used to work for a proprietary firm till she retired. Met her at one of those conferences, got to know her and we exchanged emails. Since she helped me, I've been making about $1000 bi-weekly. What I'm trying to say is the 5% of traders in the world that are consistently profitable are not on KRplus, they are just random/lowkey people no one even expects . Her name was Laura woods by the way.
