Yes, truly "well thought out" - a 1500USD phone - powered by the same SoC, which featured 200USD devices in late 2018, has a tiny 2500mAh battery with lame 15W charging, a single camera setup etc.

@@90AlmostFamous You know that Samsung has the advantage when it comes to pricing foldable devices, don't you? Samsung produces its own display and has more mature tech to pit their version against the RAZR at a lower price.
Remember that the Galaxy Fold is priced way lower ($1980) than the Mate X ($2600) since Huawei has to outsource flexible displays. Same case for RAZR, which has to be underpowered so as not to drive the price even higher.

It doesn't have any competition at all, really. Unless you count the Hwawei and Samsung foldable, which are both more expensive. This is a decent price for a first generation product. Long term, it definitely would need to come down some, though. I just hope the specs improve accordingly.

Depens, if enough people are going to buy it. Its been a trend for manufacturing companies not selling cool stuff because nobody wanted it.
For example, because it was to expensive in the beginning. And somehow these companies thought nobody would want it.. Or it was because they couldn't manufacture it for a lower price.
I think the razr is a good idea and probably will catch on. But knowing there will be foldable devices from Samsung or xiaumi I don't know if it will be enough, to get the manufacturer going. Its a good niche though.

A great thing about this is how portable it is sometimes I have the problem of my phone not fitting on my pocket and hence falling off and I tend to have a lot of things in my pocket
